For some strange reason I feel good about this game. I liked the fact we played hard at Radford. I have a feeling we shoot much better at home Cornell plays at Radford tomorrow (2pm free video feed) will be interesting to see how that game plays out (not that it means anything for Tuesday's game). The next two games are important. First we need to get wins and to establish being a tough out at home (which we did last year). But also to get some momentum for conference play. I understand we have problems - but man does the MAAC stink this year or what? Even Iona doesn't look all that powerful losing tonight at George Mason to fall to 6-4. We just need to keep battling, play hard and good things (i.e. WINS) will happen. We still have enough talent to be competitive especially when Lavon comes back.

There's still plenty of time for the team to adjust to not playing with Imoh & Brett. If Brett is able to make it back for the MAAC tourney I feel We can still possibly win it. If he chooses to RS, we still have along shot to win it. Until we lose that last game of the entire season, I refuse to give up. We could be down 20 with a min to play and I'll refuse to believe we'll lose that game.

I undersTand why people want to remain opTimisTic. Life is USUAALY BETTER WHEN THE GLASS IS HALF FULL RATHER THAN HALF EMPTY.
HOWEVER, IF WE EVER ( 5 CONCECUTIVE YEARS NOW) WANT OUR PROGRAM TO BE RELEVANT AGAIN IT IS UP TO US ( I REALLAY MEAN THIS) TO HOLD THE ADMINISTRATION RESPONSIBLE. THE WAIT TILL NEXT YEAR ATTITUDE WILL NOT WORK WITH OUR ADMINISTRATION.
The TUC, OUR GREAT FANS ARE not A PERPETUAL GIVEN.

He says the right things and I'm sure he'll win just enough so the administration will give him the continual pat on the back and extension. We are in for a long ride here and when it's over we can look back and say " what a long strange trip it's been".

Yeah you're right Siena70-- please write a letter to AD and Pres complaining that Imoh tore his ACL- Brett dislocated his toe, and Lavon sprained his ankle.. in case you dont know that's our entire starting front court from last season. The balls on the staff for letting that happen.. sometime Siena70-- you get tough breaks, Sometimes the admin deserves to be blasted.. now is not that time ( thank you)

Was last year an improvement or a decline from the previous three? With the loss of three players from last year;'s playing group would you expect an immediate bump or decline in early season play. I agree with Tony. Now is not the time to be writing to the admin But feel free to do so and be sure to share their response.

That's the frustrating part.

That's fine-- but you are such a nit picker-- you got the gist of what Hoopsforever was saying-- and whether its 4 out out of 7 or 4 out of 8.,, the gist of the post was correct, and you wonder why you struggle to get along with people on this board As for you point Siena can win with 8 I agree well, by some accounts, Silas and Cole were top 10 . I think what remains can be strong. And again, you nitpick somebody's post by saying 'by some accounts'. Well, by the 'accounts' that matter, Silas was a regular starter last year and was a defensive presence in the middle. Brett and Lavon are 'regular starters who contribute a lot! Nitpick that. And Cole was a first year player HERE (I said HERE), who was gradually getting more minutes and contributing more every game. Seriously!?! You really are a contrarian! Why can't you say - "Yes, we are missing 4 scholarship players who contributed greatly to this group, what big losses to the team! Yes, we can win with 8, but it would be a lot easier to be able to use 12!" I know - because that wouldn't fit your agenda.

my agenda now is to help you comprehend English, then. PM me your address so I can start by mailing you "Hooked on Phonics" for Christmas. No thanks. I understand English perfectly. I also understand snide comments by people who twist the meaning of people posts to fit their agenda. So, I guess I will ask you. Rather than going by 'some accounts', let me ask you your opinion. How do you feel the loss first of Silas, then Bisping Long and Cole in a matter of 2 weeks affected the chemistry of this team? And since you brought up the new comers, what were your expectations of them one month into the season? What kind of impact did you expect?

I still maintain its painful now playing shorthanded, with all these guys now having to play bigger roles with the team- but it will pay dividends down the road. A few things I am looking for- continued development of WB- kid has talent but is lost on defense and he has to get better at putting a body on someone when ball goes up. JO to get more consistent. JO has had 4 pretty good game, unfortunately he has had 5 pretty bad games. With Imoh, Brett and Lavon out we can’t have games where he scores 2 points and grabs 0 rebounds. We need JO to "bring" it every game. For Maurice to just ‘relax” and play , for those of us who saw him play in fall, we know he is capable of playing much better, just seems like he presses too much when he goes in . For Jimmy Paige to get some time. All those things happen and we get Lavon and Brett back —I’m still not writing him off for the year – although I agree if he’s not ready to play until end of February no sense burning the year- if he is ready in early February much tougher decision
