What did Oliver and Bisping do under PW ?-- thank you.. he was hired in April after the majority of recruiting was done. He is not a miracle worker despite what some of the poster think-- nor is he as horrible as you appear to think he is..its going to take a few years to clean up the mess he was left Oliver hardly every got in the game under Mitch and Co, and it didn't matter when he did because the entire offense ran into OD and the ball NEVER came out. He was very close to transferring and would have if Mitch and Co weren't eliminated. He had the same shooting talent all along. Pretty much the same with Brett; he wasn't going to get the ball with OD in the game. It was all dribble around in half court and pound it to OD, all the time. Oliver also missed a lot of time with injury

No spin about it, except from you. If 4 of the top 6 scorers were going to be from the " disaster " he inherited, then the 8 he recruited were not up to par. Let's see where JP puts the team in 2 years.

Ryan Oliver played the 1st 17 games of year 13 min a game avg 2 ppg shot 34% from field and 29% from 3, Brett played even more at 14 min a game avg 3 ppg .. my point isn’t to disparage Brett or Ryan-= point is when Jimmy came in only proven D1 performer was Poole—hence my Poole and a bag of Balls comment – its easy in hindsight to say ohh he had this guy and that guy – fact is only proven D1 player was Poole and to lesser extent Hymes and Silas. Both Ryan and Brett have limitations ( neither is very athletic) Jimmy was able to bring out their strenths and to a great extent hide their weakness – which is the mark of a good coach

Not going to pretend I read this War & Peace thread, but my thoughts are:
- Jimmy's first recruiting class had two all-Rookie players, both of whom are destined to be All-MAAC players. I like this. - People argue that he solely recruits out of Baltimore, yet none of this year's Freshman are from Baltimore. Everyone has a strong recruiting base, but it's clearly not the only pond from which he's fishing. - To me, Willem looks like a lengthy athletic specimen who has also shown an outside touch (yes may less attempts, but he's shooting 44% from 3, same as sniper Ryan Oliver). - Jimmy Paige, to me, never appeared to be an impact Freshman, but more so a steady journeyman who would grow into upper-class minutes and production.
In summation: none of Jimmy's recruits have yet to play as upperclassmen. It seems a bit premature to be ranking his recruiting prowess. While obviously you'd like to be immediately dazzled by Freshman as soon as they walk on the court, I don't have a problem with the level of player he's brought in so far.
This isn't to say all is well; he has plenty to prove with this next class. Fisher looks solid and Wormley looks like an athlete, but there are still holes to fill for the 2015 class.

The injuries have put players out of position and that wont change till next season when Brett and Imoh come back. We cant take advantage of our size as much after losing our starting front court

Nope, sorry. In this Imoh plays no part because he is only a 5 period. They were out of position with Brett playing, not to mention, it was so obvious during the UA game that many of them didn't even know where they are supposed to be on the court while setting up the 'offense'. D-1 players on full scholarship IMHO, should not look like they need a GPS. #iamnotahaterijustwanttheteamtolookliketheyknowwhattheyaredoing
