So far Jimmy’s recruiting has been a mixed bag at best. Nobody can complain about Wright and Long – last year’s class included some head scratchers. Cam Gottfried- played on high level AAU team so was looked at by 351 D1 programs, only offers are from Jimmy at Loyola and then Siena. Jimmy Paige, 6’4” power forward had no solid offers last winter, commits to Siena sight unseen, and while Paige is a good kid that may eventually become a role player for us, certainly no “impact” player. Willem Brandwijk- nice get for Jimmy, but will take some time to develop. Jimmy beat out AE and Big South program for WB. Is Jimmy and his staff capable of landing impact players ? Something they will have to do if Siena is to consistently compete with Iona, Manhattan and Q-pac who are recruiting at a high MAAC level. Personally I think Jimmy’s staff needs a shakeup ..Much too much Baltimore centered, and that in itself isn’t bad some good players in that area, but Jimmy needs to expand pond he fishes in, it seems every time we are competing for a kid in Metro Baltimore area, it is against low majors, seldom see Siena linked with a kid with offers from Mason- GW, Richmond etc… mainly linked with Coppin State and Loyola for best of low major recruits. I dont know what you guys think ? I'll currently say too early to tell - but the staff better land a few impacts players in addition to players already signed. While injuries are making us look bad right now, make no mistake about it, we need an infusion of talent. The right impact players should be able to come in challenge for starting position as soon as next season

Nope. I'll say it now I have no faith in this guy. That said, I hope I eat my words.

KITony you are on the money. Concern is warranted. While the solid contributors next year looks like Wright, long, Brandwijk and new-comer Fisher, we are still lacking the athletic wing and scoring athletic 2. I like some of the guys he's brought in. I am concerned that while we know what it takes to win in the maac, the staff has yet to address it on the recruiting trail. I have expressed my concern right along that we are constantly butting heads with low majors on the recruiting trail. Few recruits seem to be on mid and high major lists. I don't mind digging for the gem in the rough but it can't be EVERY recruit. Fisher is a step in the right direction.
Need athleticism, quickness and scoring in at least two of three scholarships available
The good news is.... there are now scholarships available.
Patsos got a pass year 1. Brought in a large class from Loyola. His hand was forced but he did get some talent. Last year was more suspect.

Who would you change in the staff? Not going to publically call out any particular member of staff – but I’d like to see a coach with Philly/ South jersey ties. An area Siena has been extremely successful in recruiting over the years

Wright and Long are ok players. Nothing great. Put three star players with those 2 they might have something. Fisher and Wormley don't look like stars but who knows. I hate to say it but the way the roster is for the next few years looks like .500 or slightly higher is the ceiling. The CBI blindsided most people into thinking 20+ wins were a given.

Who would you change in the staff? Name the last recruit Lucious brought in? Is he the recruiting coordinator? Seriously? If the head coach will only recruit one area, nothing an assistant can do. Changing the staff won't help unless Patsos let's them work.

I think Weight is probably one of the better mid major PGs but doesn't have the talent around him like say Ronald did. Patsos in my opinion has.been awful recruiting thus far when you have the TU and the draw I can't believe you can't entice better players. Wormly, he's not gonna bail Patsos out and Fisher who knows. This is the class he'll carry into yr 4, it's not looking good we need 2-3 impact players
