Not playing on the Rocks is not necessarily a bad thing. There is a lot of competition for PT given the wider recruiting base of the Rocks. If you want to showcase your skills and be the best player on your team you can get more PT on other teams. The scouts see you and you don't have to be on the Rocks to get noticed.

Found another agenda for lucabrasi - disdain for City Rocks. Interesting. You really are something. Because I actually know who plays for the Rocks and you don't, I have an agenda? Every "Rocks" player you just named played AAU at least 8 years ago. Hart recruits out of area, a lot of locals won't play for him anymore. "wont?" or "can't?" Hart is Nike funded which puts him on a different level then the other father-run AAU teams in our area. He gets kids across the state and they're better than the the kids in our area. Mack and Wright are the best I've seen right now, and I want to see what improvements Platek has made. ps--not sure why he'd follow Cremo to UA. Don't they play the same position?

The Rocks do have some decent players we are recruiting but they are based in Western NY. It probably doesn't help that we are UA and they are NIKE

To your first question, some won't and of course, some can't. There are limited spots. Second question, I don't think Platek will follow Cremo to UAlbany. I simply repeated a report that they offered him. Although it is possible Cremo could play the 3, he's about the same size as Sanders, their current starter.

Mack? Guys whos fathers start their own teams so their kids can be the focus of the team?

Guys who want to play their natural position (Mack, a guard, who played with a Stanford bound big so he didn't get stuck down low). But you believe what you want. There were 12 roster spots. Most (pretty much all) of the area's top players are guards. Why would they try to play on 1 team? Only Rob Lanier builds teams like that.

And Joel, at small forward? lmao, thanks for clearing that up for me. Daddy AAU coach = little league move

I guess Kevin Huerter is overrated: nychoops.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1718125 Creighton still has one more scholarship to fill in the 2015 class, but that hasn't stopped the staff from starting its work on the 2016 recruiting class. "Shooter U.," or the program that coined the phrase "Let it fly," is taking a hard look at one of the best shooters in the 2016 class, 6-foot-5 Kevin Huerter from Shenendehowa high school in New York. The "Shen" standout finished second in the Suburban Council boys basketball player of the year voting as a sophomore. He started every game as a freshman and has a lot of similarities to former Creighton standout Ethan Wragge. "I started every game as a freshman and only made two 2-point baskets," Huerter said. "I've developed my game a lot since then to become more than just a 3-point shooter. The other night I had 10 points, 8 assists, and 9 rebounds. I'm a good passer and have a good basketball I.Q., but shooting is obviously my strength. I feel like I have unlimited range when I'm on the court." In addition to Creighton, Huerter has interest from Albany, Siena, Hofstra, Georgia Tech and the majority of the Ivy League schools. He will be playing for the Albany City Rocks in the spring and his recruitment is really expected to pick up then. "I'm looking for a school where I can have a role right away," he said. "I might go to a prep school for one year to get stronger. Academics is really big when choosing a school for me. I know I can't play basketball all my life so I'm looking for a school that has a really good business program." The Big East and Fox Sports 1 have opened a lot of doors for Creighton when it comes to recruiting all over the nation but especially on the East Coast. "Creighton playing in the Big East is definitely an advantage for them," he said. "Anytime you can play close to home, that's exciting. I know Omaha doesn't have any professional sports teams, so the fan support at Creighton is unbelievable. I watched some of their games on TV last year because of Doug McDermott and watched them come back from an 18-point deficit against Oklahoma this season." Expect Huerter's list of schools to grow significantly because every team is always looking for more shooting. Huerter is going to focus on getting stronger physically so he can add to his list of offers. No doubt that he likes to "Let it fly."
