Luca has a right to his opinion and I don't think he needs to try another board. He contributes here and is an excellent source on the local high school scene. Every board needs balance.

What difference would that make? Patsos didn't get Cole out of Newark, as EVERYONE knows. Cole left Newark 4 years ago, for prep school. Then he went Coppin State. Then Siena. Then he chose to return there. The fact you think HE chose to go back to Newark is comical. He had no choice, and if he did, my question would be asked again. You ever been to Newark? Just say no next time. The more you talk, the worse you look.

I would assume it is because he is "suspended", and has not been dismissed. The other shoe will drop before long, I would think.

Probably declared his intent to not enroll in following semester and didn't register for classes thus they probably my can't keep him on, they did the same when the Cote quit women's team. Or they just have a real aggressive web master

I've heard rumors about Cole's suspension/leaving, esp related to Twitter recently (plus the past tweet). Is that fairly accurate or is this taboo? And are there other issues? I assume it was nothing legal. Academics?

I thought the school RS'ed Wolfe so he could transfer and not lose a yr of eligibility? Removing him from the roster probably means he's made up his mind and won't return to Siena next season and will transfer at some point during this or after this season. Cole was suspended indefinitely (But I guess with the smallest possibility that he could return - initially thought in the first tweets). However, after the Radford game it appears a given that the school won't necessarily welcome him back to the basketball team. Jason probably hasn't gotten around to officially updating the roster yet. I'm sure it'll be updated before the start of the 2015-16 season.

I assume it was nothing legal. Academics? this might be a load of BS but a Bucknell poster on the Holy Cross board posted this comment: bison137 Many Siena fans have been very vocal on the message boards over the past couple of years about wanting out of the MAAC. They think it is their birthright to be given an A-10 spot - even though there doesn't appear to have been any interest. Some of that lack of interest may be due to Siena's ongoing financial problems. Interestingly, just today Big Apple Hoops quoted a MAAC coach saying this about the Siena fans: "the most delusional fan base in the world . . . they’re going to push Patsos over the edge or he’s going to lose his team somehow." Siena has had a couple of key injuries - but also some other problems with players. Patsos just suspended (likely permanently) a transfer who just started playing for them - a player with a checkered past. This player recently said a number of inappropriate things via twitter and then apparently engaged in a verbal war with Patsos' wife over his conduct. Also Michael Wolfe, who bailed on Loyola to follow Patsos to Siena, was pushed out the door, leaving them with some depth issues. There have been other player disciplinary issues as well.
