Stinks Lavon and Brett are out-- but the silver lining in this, both Mo and Paige get an opportunity to play thru some mistakes and shine. Once we get healthy, having these two players get some quality time could prove invaluable

I think the key here is for them "getting to play through mistakes". I hope this bears itself out.

They both need a shot of confidence so they aren't pressing so hard. I think they both probably feel great pressure due to the potential for the quick hook.
Make a couple buckets, relax, and get your game back!
Jimmy just needs to let them. We'll see what happens with the short bench.

I know Jimmy means well (his style of motivation), but I also know not everyone responds to the same managerial style. There's no one style fits all. The really good managers/bosses have the ability to change ever so slightly to motivate more people. Jimmy just needs to find that right balance with this group. I like Jimmy and the players; they'll figure it out eventually. I expect them to gel by the final third of the season (like last year). My optimism for the beginning of this season was hoping we'd pick up from where we left off (that hunger to win). We'll be fine, it's just going to take longer than I thought. I never expected the injuries to be so impacting as they ended up being. This will give many an opportunity they wouldn't have maybe received without the injuries. It'll only help us as a team for the future.

I still think White can be that guy we saw on opening night vs UA last season. The kid has totally lost confidence on the offensive end. I'm not saying he's an offensive juggernaut but he's better than he's been playing. On the defensive side I love his energy his hands are everywhere.....

Agree but if this type of coach doesn't fit your style then I would say transfer. There are all different types of coaches, but even the laid back coaches still preach accountability, they just aren't as in your face. One thing that I notice is that Jimmy seems to genuinely care about the players off the court. Taking them to historical sites on team trips, and always mentioning the kids future over the Siena basketball teams are two things that are going to over time cause the players to play harder for him in my opinion. So he may be a pain in your ass on the court, but off the court you probably aren't going to find someone who cares more for his players. Just my observation.

+1,000,000. Nicely done. Hope we get a deep read and not just a look at the abstract.

Now that is one post I do hope the kids see. Thanks for brightening up the day! Thanks. I know things aren't all sunshine and butterflies around the team right now, but the overall infighting and negativity on this board is downright depressing and basically makes me not want to participate. Sometimes it's good to remind ourselves that hey, we all WANT to see this team succeed (save Click Clack & GG, but you know). I'm looking forward to watching the Eight-Saints-a-Hooping tonight.

I'm a honest man my son played like sh*t tonight. Hey mr black... Me and my father in law sat next to you and some friends at last years ualbany game , some game Maurice had that night ! Joked with your friends about our bad seats. ( for players family) think it was top row of lower section . Anyway I remember how proud all you guys were. You and Maurice hang in there . Better days ahead. These boards can be tough and even though it's not personal... How can you not take if personally?
