I understand that. Albany also knows their fans want to watch the game from their own seats at the SEFCU and do not think they should have to play a 'non-true' road game every season. Albany is not allowed to ask for that? Any fan of either team knows that this contract will not be the same if renewed and it will be interesting to see what happens. 5 for 1? Maybe you can get that with Cuse the other way around, but I'm sure if the Albany game falls through you'll get another mid major to the TU to draw 10K. A few things--lets clear up another fallacy - Siena needs to get another team to draw 10 K – false. Siena gives UA tickets and also pays UA 20K- getting another team in to draw about 7k would be a revenue neutral game for Siena , if Siena brings someone in and gets 6K a slight loss, but not a big deal from a revenue POV- this game contrary to what UA fans think is not a revenue windfall for Siena - given concessions already given to UA Albany can ask for whatever they want- like I said Siena cannot shut out 7,000 Siena fans every other year- so that "deal" is a non starter is never going to happen- Series will end before that happens. Preferred way to handle this is more money for UA-- and if its a 'pride: thing for UA--like I said I wouldn't be adverse to 1 out of 5 at sefcu-- as long as Siena gets 1500 tickets that would preserve game and only shut out Siena fans once every 5 years. it would probably help UA attendance if UA only has enough tickets to give season ticket holders tics for games at Sefcu, you can bet your bottom dollar many UA fans would buy season tickets just to get tickets to that game, even once every 5 years In the end I'm pretty sure the Ad's will come up with a solution as long as UA isn't unreasonable after all a game at the TUC is far..far from a true road game for UA

These problems could all be solved if SUNY Albany just moved to Detroit. Plenty of room there.
Maybe Chernobyl. Just spit balling here.

I find it so very sad that an institution with over 17000 students when given 750 tickets couldn't sell them out. Pathetic, You should be embarrassed to no end. But yet you want to selfishly shut out 7k local basketball fans for what? I walk into to your gym (yes I go to a few UA games I'm a basketball fan) and I can set center court anytime I choose The place is always half empty. The 2 or 3 of you posting here take your sorry apathetic asses back to your message board. Ah that's right you don't have one. bigpurplefans.ipbhost.com/index.php?act=idxAs for not selling out 750 tickets...many on our boards, yes it exists and is very active regardless of your ignorance to its existence, have stated that they are not going out of principal. This years game hardly got over the 10k hump, next year if it's the same arrangements even less of us will go including purchasing the tickets from arena. I won't be there if it stays the same.

I apologize didn't realize you had a board. But seriously how many UA hold outs on principal ... 50 people? Your gym is a ghost town. You don't have 2,500 fans who care enough to show for home games.

Both teams were under .500, and most UA fans (even yourself) didn't think you'd win. So for two crappy mid-major teams to draw 5 figures is pretty impressive. ps--you might not be there, but if next years game is two 6-1 teams playing, I'm betting there'll be plenty of UA "fans" to take your seat.

Agreed, as long as we agree that it's not UA or not Siena that is the reason for this many people to want to see it but that it's the matchup of the two. With that said UA needs to be treated with some respect especially season ticket holders. This current arrangement will never fly again.

Your season ticket holders could easily occupiy the entire section directly behind the visitors bench, and you saw my proposal. Your TRUE fans should be rewarded. 100% agreed.

I was in section 103...i whistled a few times and cheered a bit, nothing over the top. One Siena fan, old man who was sitting in front of me complained the entire time that I was to loud and that they... Meaning team wouldn't hear me even though I was pretty tame. Another one running for the door pointed his finger at me and called me a "sore winner"... That is how this game isn't a true rode game I guess.

Thats why I'd be fine with you guys having access to the section behind your bench, and the one to the right of them.....thats got to be close to 1000 tickets, and they'd be right by the teams bench.

I happen to agree that UA should get a game at SEDCU, perhaps 3/1,4/1. Personally I think Siena would play better there less pressure.
As far as UA be careful what you ask for. Siena goes to the SEFCU 2k tickets plus 20k. Lots of numbers on tickets given to UA is 2 right number.
I have said it before give Brown his due in big games, tremendous coach, UA Superbowl. However after listening to him on Wayland again his mouth got ahead of his brain. To quote I do all the scheduling no one else. Tell me coach as a taxpayer if you are turning down 100k to play a big school just to play Siena, in the private sector you would be gone. More importantly if you do all the scheduling why is Benson and Daegenio meeting with out you.
