Albany Players sleep in their own bed, they are 5 min from arena=- they have 2000 fans there, their cheer leaders are there- their band is there-, Dance team is there - Jimmy makes a good point—how many times you do see a road team have fans on the baseline? The visiting teams have their cheerleaders, band and cheer teams? The visiting players sleep in their home bed-- Albany can’t sell 750 tickets (BTW that’s about how many people were at Holy Cross game) so they are in no position to demand anything— this BS this is a Siena home game and a Albany road game is nowhere near the truth .. Can the game be tweaked—of course—but Siena owes Albany nothing--- let me repeat that Siena owes Albany nothing, this is by no means a Siena home game and a Albany road game—not even close. If Alb doesn't accept the terms too bad their loos..we move on

Shooting on your own rims. Playing in your own arena. Knowing the depth perception of the hoop.
Yup that's definitely not a home court advantage.
Siena doesn't owe Albany anything and vice versa. If they can't agree on a new contract so be it. You can now fill that game with another team that will draw 10k+ every year for you.

Siena rims are at the ARC-- not the TUC Playing in your own arena. Again Siena practices every day at the ARC Knowing the depth perception of the hoop.== these are D1 players, seems to me Albany had no problem shooting the ball All this bitching is about Albany fans shutting Siena fans out of the game-- plain and simple. Sorry isn't going to happen -- Every fan UA can drum up is at game, you're fans are sitting court side, your band is there, cheer team dance team-- players are sleeping in their bed-- no way shape or form is the a true "road" game for Albany- not even close

To say there is no home court advantage playing at TU for Siena is nonsense. Let's be real you play 10 conference games and 5 or so OOC games there. Albany plays ONE. If you ask any D1 player, they would rather shoot on their own rims and playing in their own gyms. Players are creatures of habit and have routines.
You honestly think there has been no home court advantage for Siena the past 14 years???

I will say this was least amount of UA fans I have seen at game so far, a very un impressive turnout by UA fans for sure

How is UA demanding anything? The contract is up and they have to come to a new agreement. New contract and new terms. If both can't agree then it's done. Is Albany obligated to play Siena every year? NO. I think it's probably best to just end it as you said Tony.

100% road game? NO.
Like I said, new contract, new terms. Can't agree on terms, no contract. Are you saying Albany has no right to want to do a home and home alternating every other year?
Albany doesn't owe Siena anything and Siena doesn't owe Albany anything. Can we agree on that?

This game is not a true road game for Albany.. and everyone knows that- so lets get that off the table right off the bat. Is the game a slight advantage for Siena since we have more fans, yes. Is it the same home court advantage as if Siena was playing another team, nope not even close, no other team displaces Siena fans, has their band, cheer team Dance team and 2,000 fans at TUC -- can everyone agree on that paragraph? If the game "goes away" so be it. Is the game going to be played at Sefcu every other year shutting out 7,000 Siena fans every other year-- nope-- so take that off the table. What else is left? Give Ua more money and some more choice seats ( I'm sure that could be worked out) I wouldn't be totally adverse to signing a 5 year deal, with 1 year at Sefcu ( as long as Siena gets 1500 tickets-- to keep crowd balance close to what it is now 70-30 in favor of "home team" not really keen on that... but I could live with 1 year out of 5 and any of clack bullshit of 500 tickets thats it for game at sefcu--again not even on table Siena cannot and will not enter into a contract where 7000 Siena fans get shut out every other year

Albany also knows their fans want to watch the game from their own seats at the SEFCU and do not think they should have to play a 'non-true' road game every season. Albany is not allowed to ask for that? Any fan of either team knows that this contract will not be the same if renewed and it will be interesting to see what happens. 5 for 1? Maybe you can get that with Cuse the other way around, but I'm sure if the Albany game falls through you'll get another mid major to the TU to draw 10K.

The results of the last three games suggest UA is comfortable enough with the rims and depth perception. It is not an away game.

I find it so very sad that an institution with over 17000 students when given 750 tickets couldn't sell them out. Pathetic, You should be embarrassed to no end. But yet you want to selfishly shut out 7k local basketball fans for what? I walk into to your gym (yes I go to a few UA games I'm a basketball fan) and I can set center court anytime I choose The place is always half empty.
The 2 or 3 of you posting here take your sorry apathetic asses back to your message board.
Ah that's right you don't have one.

It would actually be shutting out 7K Siena fans not local basketball fans. I'm sure some Albany fans would be shut out as well. Albany fans have been getting on student turnout forever as well, that's nothing new. Maybe if SEFCU sold beer and liquor at games like Siena can there'd be more students. I have nothing against the Siena basketball team. I just don't get why Siena fans love degrading Albany and saying they have accomplished nothing in their short D1 history.
