This is a Siena home game. Its their job to sell tickets not UA's. Its the day before the game and I still haven't seen anything promoting the game.

It's Sienas job to sell tickets to their fans, but since UA is as close to the TUC as Siena is, why aren't their fans buying up tickets to see their team beat up their big rival? If you have to drive 5 miles to see your team play a game, there's no excuse why a school of that size can't bring 7,000 fans with them.

Let's face it, this year this game really isn't about who is best. Both teams are struggling to find themselves for various reasons. Tomorrow night will determined which team is worse. It will be a bad loss for either team.
Hopefully both teams can right the ship in January.

I'm coming up for game to have mini-reunion w classmates ... We also get together at the Saratoga track in summer ... Not all are avid bball or track fans ... Just a venue to meet at combined w dinner out ... I'm sure other alums from both schools do the same thing

UA should be able to create fan interest given there NCAA participation in recent years. Why is it that they have failed to do so? If they can grow their program to the point that they need the TUC to accommodate their fan base then a home and home seems reasonable. If not, don't complain and if that is a deal breaker, cancel the series. It is that simple.
On the plus side for UA, the game should generate fan interest in their program and increase the attendance at the SEFCU Arena. It would seem like a good marketing tool. That leads to the downside, it hasn't worked out so far, so it seems they have maxed out their fan base. If that is the case, and the game draws more than the SEFCU can accommodate it is cannot be done for the benefit of the community at the SEFCU.
So if the game is for the benefit of the community, let's let the ADs negotiate and see what comes of it. It the home and home is a deal breaker, so be it. Let it end. If a few more seats for UA fans are needed and can be given, then let it continue. If Siena brings in 7000-8000 for a game of community interest, (not UA), and the UA game brings in 9000 or 10000, split the difference and give UA 1000-1500 seats. If the number goes up or down based on history, renegotiate in the ensuing years. Reasonable people should be able to come to some arrangement for the good of the community. If not,, end it and have both teams schedule other teams that would draw well.

Does anyone else see this back and forth banter between the coaches and school about the contract ending and it not being fair as the marketing for the game? Everyone is talking how they have not seen any advertising about the game, but keep posting links and articles on how this could be the end of the series. The coaches will never admit it, but I bet the public banter has alot to do with getting more people out to the game on a Saturday night and almost making it out to be that "this is it, don't miss it"

Read the article. EVERYTHING Jimmy said, Brown did. He changed the game, and he never went on the trip he used as an excuse. He thinks no one can figure that out? That he didn't wanna play his first game against a veteran team, when he has a group with 9 newcomers? It's really not a big deal when we play, but anyone that read that article can see Will lied about the reasoning the game was moved. Really, am I missing something here? Who cares let it go. You think Fran would have been involved with this back and forth BS. just coach, at last check our play has been less than consistent. Jimmy should be less worried about opening his pie hole and more worried about coaching and beating UA. If you thought VT Rider and FU caused a commotion. just watch what happens with another loss to UA. You want to shut Will B up kick his ass on the court.

Brown had to buy tickets himself for one of their home games in the AE tourney. I been following Siena for more years than some have been a thought. Anyone remember the UA Siena games at Mechanicsville? UA has and will always have apathy towards the school. Demographics, most come from the island or city, who would want to stay in Albany or go back home. Seems everyone understands that but the athletic department at UA.
Can there be some negotiations for better seating yes, but is it worth it. Give UA credit on bringing their athletics up, of course with 17k grad and undergrad no reason not to be able to compete in lowly UA. However if Fran had not left, the Mitch fiasco not taken place, the Siena admin gets its act together would UA had won last 3 of 4. Never compare apple and oranges.
Finally the coaches are towing the schools party line, do they have a choice. Been said printed they get along very well, dinner etc. More going on than we know currently. Even Wayland is taking a low road,

1. Despite what posters here may write, this is a great community event and fun rivalries should be nurtured. 2. Siena will play a home & home with Vt. at it's high school gym but not at UA's place twice Vt capacity? 3. Both programs will cycle in quality and the whole area should celebrate either teams success (Siena's run under Fran was a blast!) but atm both programs need this rivalry game to generate fan interest and recruit excitement. This game makes both teams more attractive. 4. Short term bitching about strategy for good RPI ratings is silly, each conference is a One Bid Wonder and this game is not going to change that. Best of luck to our cross town rovals and may we see each other for a dance in March!

By having the game in UAs band box you'll close out 7k fans ... make sense ... I think not. What's so f'ing hard to understand. This argument is getting old and it's ridiculous.

In your scenario, Siena hosts one year, everyone in the area can go. Albany hosts the other and very few Siena fans can go. Again, you apparently don't understand or choose to ignore
