We lost a conference road game- news flash we will lose another 4 or 5 conference road games. Its not easy to win on the road in conference, No excuse for today, we didn’t play well… but what did you expect? We aren’t a 17-18 win MAAC team..we are a decent MAAC team. We are going to lose 7-8 MAAC games . Everyone is acting surprised. Pay attention we lost to Vermont Fordham, this team isn’t a finished product. We need more talent for sure .. barring a miracle run in MAAC tournament we are going to be a CIT type team this year ..I swear some of you people live and die with every game, we will have some good games and some not so good games—be steady But get it through your thick skulls this isn’t a championship type team..relax and enjoy season- how hard is it to win on the road--Iona just lost to Monmouth on road

Good post Tony. People get too excited over a win and a good individual performance. Its all about consistency as a team and as an individuals stats game to game.

I posted something similar after the Fordham game. I will be the first to admit I expected too much (21-8 was my prediction) after we won the CBI. This is still a team that is very young and rebuilding coming off the ashes from two years ago.
Solid team not a great team. We'll be around 17-12...with 12 or 13 conference wins (which might be good enough for 2nd) and have a chance with the tournament at the TUC.
I want to see us get better as the season goes on like we did last year. If we do that we'll be fine and win a lot of games. That's the hallmark of a well coached team.

tony, i couldn't agree more, a lot of people do not realize how much of a hole mitch dug us in. the nucleus is there we are one impact scorer away from a very good team.

The SAME kids just dismantled a very good Quinnipiac team 41 hours before this game. Todays game just says we're good, not great. Great teams don't lose to Rider....anywhere. So lets' get our 10-8/11-7 MAAC record, and just be playing our best ball at the end of the year, when all of this really matters anyway.

Our reactions of anger and agony are because we drank the post CBI koolaid. Expectations are a heavy burden In my case it wasn't the CBI as much as having Poole, Hymes and Silas as seniors and the sophs making their jump. Now Silas and Bisping are hurt, Wolfe is gone and Whites not playing and Poole and Hymes are off their game. But as PPC says playing time is earned in practice so I guess we can see what's going on in there. Injuries are the enemy now, I think having Brett out and no time to adjust is what hurt most yesterday. Just my.02.

And I totally disagree ! The talent is there .. they just need time! Tell us about the talent! In an actual basketball related post! Without exclamation points! And without coaches who don't exist (Bayhime?)!And maybe someone will take you seriously!
