Wolfe is gone at semester break. Think coach made a big mistake on not playing this kid, and a result is losing him. Would not be surprised to see him end up at Loyola?

Wolfe is a good kid, but was too weak, and never knew where to be on the court during set plays, or defensively. He has a lot of God given talent, and would be a great pick-up player, but once coaching and game preparation come into play, he's way behind. Could be a great player in a few years once it all sinks in, but Jimmy doesn't have the patience to wait for results in his senior year.

From Siena's web page.
GENERAL: •Extremely athletic, long big man who can jump out of the gym •Has 3-point range on his smooth jumper •Tremendous upside •Moves with great fluidity
2013-14: •Played in 36 of 38 games averaging five minutes per contest •Scored season-high 14 points (including four dunks) in 24 minutes played at Canisius (12/8) •Played seven minutes and scored four points in CBI Championship final victory over Fresno State (4/2) •Shot 45% from the field and 79% from the foul line
BEFORE SIENA: •Averaged 15 points and 8.5 rebounds per game in helping Georgetown Prep to a 15-11 overall record, including a 7-3 mark in the Interstate Athletic Conference •Posted eight double-doubles, a triple-double against St. Albans (31 points, 15 rebounds, 10 blocks), and 20 performances eclipsing double-figures in the points column •Earned First Team All-League (IAC) and Second Team All-Gazette and All-Sentinel, and averaged nearly 20 points and nine rebounds per game in IAC competition
He should have played more....Willem is being played like Wolfe was, not enough

No need talk bad about the kid. Just wish him the best. Just not a good fit for him.

He played an outstanding game in the Canisius loss. With kids like Wolfe you need to run plays designed to take advantage of their abilities. He could come in for a few back door alley-oops every game. It would be worth having him just for that.

It seems to me this is a two way street and both sides have to be happy with what they're getting. I don't think that was the case in this instance and neither side was happy. Keep in mind this is just my opinion from the outside looking in.

His best games were against the better opponents. 5 pts 2reb vs Bonnie, 7+1 vs Memphis, 5+2 vs St Joes, 5pts vs Purdue, 14+4 vs Canisius. Anyone suggesting he isn't a D1 player is crazy. Kind of reminds me of the situation with Paul Williams under Lanier. Couldn't get on the court at Siena, averaged a double double in the A-10.

You've got to be able to get your motor running consistently. You've also got to be focused and learn the plays, where/when to be on the floor. Some have/eventually get it. .. some dont. If you cant defend and are out of position/not where you should be and when you should be there... you aren't going to get time

It's a shame though that it hasn't come together for him. His potential is higher than any Saint I can remember. Whatever happens with him, I wish him well.

Too bad, this kid had the most talent of that freshman class. This happens all the time in college. You can't keep everyone happy. This kid will do well wherever he lands if he wants to play basketball.
Funny thing is how its viewed if the coach isn't winning it's viewed as him running kids out of the program.

Has there been an announcement regarding MW's departure that I missed? Why is everyone posting as tough this is fait accompli?
