The can gobble up all the "local talent" tbey want. They haven't had alocal kid hurt us yet. The only reason they're in the position they are, is because of Crocidile Dundess nephews. THAT countrys recruiting concerns me, not the Capital District. HJ tad harsh but so correct. Give the man credit for the pipeline he has there. BTW what is the avg. age of the Aussie kids, are they fresh out of HS or prep?
The education system in Australia seems fairly similar to ours with the exceptions that kids enter kindergarten at age 6 and may finish at age 16 after completing secondary school (through year/grade 10)..
"The Australian education system provides primary, secondary and tertiary education.
School education (Primary and Secondary)
School education is similar across all of Australia with only minor variations between states and territories. School education (primary and secondary) is compulsory between the ages of six and sixteen (Year 1 to Year 9 or 10). School education is 13 years and divided into: •Primary school - Runs for seven or eight years, starting at Kindergarten/Preparatory through to Year 6 or 7. •Secondary school - Runs for three or four years, from Years 7 to 10 or 8 to 10. •Senior secondary school - Runs for two years, Years 11 and 12
Tertiary education
Tertiary education includes both higher education (including universities) and vocational education and training (VET)."
Bottom line one would guess that the graduating 12th year Aussie is one year older than his US counterpart. Now we know UA's Iona-like secret - older players!!!
Judging from the interviews you hear from the UA Aussie's and others at different schools, I would also conclude that they are better educated on average than their US counterparts. I'm guessing the Senior secondary school years are for students planning on entering universities or trade schools - students that want to be there rather than forcing inclusion of those that don't - a good thing for those that do!

Why the comparisons just don't jive when comparing all nations.

All I know is those 2 kids they have now have had more of an impact on their D-1 programs history, than any other player besides Jamar Wilson.
If Brown can find 2 more, God Bless him. They'll miss Rowleys game way more than they know.

Wyland just said Mack leaving CCHS for Blair Academy and if he doesn't go to a "big" conference would go to UAlbany.

It will be interesting to see how Mack does at Blair without playing for his father And for those that don't know Mack's dad played for UA's unpaid assistant Coach Bassett( great coach at CCHS back in the day)

Not as you say if no one else wants him...clearly at least 4 teams right now "want him"

I'll be surprised if he doesn't get a few A-10 or better in '17. And who knows what coach will be where in 2 years?
