OK you are on record...( you have Iona and Manhattan for 8 losses combined) as for predictions on this board you predicted Siena to win anywhere from 4 to 10 games last year - so your track record is less than stellar.. you should tip your hat to MTS for calling Siena's season almost to a tee last year. Instead you attack him for a very reasonable picks-- at least he had the balls to go on record..make your picks or STFU

My picks are already out there on the webs but I had: Iona Siena Quinny SPU Manhattan Rider Monmouth Marist Fairfield Canisius Niagara They are probably going to change though. I want to see the results of exhibition season and the status of some players. There has been no news out of Quinny. Nicholas, Welton are in limbo... SPU and Monmouth could fall. and I don't have a picture of the lineup yet on CC or Niagara to pick between the two. And FF is a tricky pick this year in their positioning. There's a lot of potential shifting in the 'power poll'. Actually KK I was looking at last years picks and you did well grasshopper-- only bad miss you had was Marist 3rd and Cansius something like 6th or 7..and I dont think anyone had Quinny as high as they finished

Quinny surprised me but I tried to get cute and pick different from other people to win the MAAC board contest again and shock certain people after all the trash I talked about how bad Marist was gonna be. I wanted to piss off GG at the same time.. so I switched them with Canisius at the last minute. The reaction was worth it but the prediction was crap.

I haven’t made up my mind on MAAC order yet—I want to pick Siena 1st but Jimmy has never won a regular season title and I’m not convinced we will score enough to win the regular season title—and still waiting to hear about injuries at SPC and Monmouth – and what is going on at Quinny. Any word if McLean is implicated in the transcript fraud at Westchester CC

Iona and Manhattan will lose closer to 15 games than 8 (more than 11).

I was looking at last year's picks and I was only one game off for both maac and total. No surprise, I am that good :-)

I said 12-8 for the MAAC last season but I did not do my own game by game so I cant claim much but I was just one game off. I want to run the table at home more than anything this year. We already beat MH and we can beat this Iona team... so this is doable with all of the great support from our fan base.

This team has the talent to win the MAAC..they just have to stay focused! As I told Pool and Oliver at the TU Center! They have to go into every game with the mindset every game is must win! And never forget what happened in Marist last year! If they do that...they will win the MAAC!

That would be a good start in beating the old 38 game win streak at home we had going a few years back. New faces, new records!

Very good post by siena79. So true. Iona has lost guys Glover and Machado and didn't lose a beat over the last few years. I also like the fact he brought up the point of not turning on the team or coaches if the wins aren't piling up.

I also like the fact he brought up the point of not turning on the team or coaches if the wins aren't piling up. Papi do you understand basketball at all? When Iona lost Glover they had Laury—when Iona lost Machado they had Momo… this year Iona is replacing 3 of their best players with a 6’4” power forward that couldn’t start in big South on one of the worst teams in the country, a banged up Amayo that hasn’t played more than 3 games his entire career and freshmen. The back bone of Iona’s team the last 4 years were the 4 year players that Willard brought in, guys like Machado, Fields, Jenkins, Smythe, Armand —to that group Cluless brought in a few high powered transfers like Glover, Momo Bowman—this year the high powered transfer is a 6’4’ power forward from big south that can’t shoot outside 3 feet. This is the first year of all Cluess/Grasso recruits—and it might not be as pretty as you think. If the MAAC was a game of 3 on 3 Iona might go undefeated – but it’s not and Iona is chock full of question marks when it comes to depth
