My predicted MAAC standings: 1. Siena (15-5) 2. Quinnipiac (14-6) 3. Iona (13-7) 4. St. Peter's (13-7) 5. Manhattan (12-8) 6. Monmouth (10-10) 7. Rider (9-11) 8. Marist (8-12) 9. Fairfield (7-13) 10. Canisius (6-14) 11. Niagara (3-17) POY: AJ English 1st team: English, R. Poole, M. Dominique, O. Drame, Z. Hearst With all due respect, you're way off on Iona and Manhattan. 15 losses between them is wishful thinking. I can't see either of them losing 5 games.

BTW I can see Manhattan losing 5 this year easy..Jaspers have potential, but have major question marks in back court-- besides Manhattan lost 5 MAAC games last year- are you saying they are better this year?

Yup.. I don't see ANYONE in the league going 17-3 (hope Siena proves me wrong though!). I see 15-5 winning the conference and potentially even two teams finishing at the top with a 14-6 record. Iona went 17-3 last year and lost half their six man rotation (Armand, Bowman and Poole) they drop back 4 games to 13-7. Manhattan went 15-5 and lost their big three of Beamon, Alvarado and Brown) thus they drop back 3 games to 12-8. Quinnipiac went 14-6 but I think they can match it again if Mclean can replace Umar Shannon St. Peter's went 9-11 I have them making a 4 game jump up to 13-7. Siena went 11-9 I have them making also a 4 game jump up to 15-5. I see Monmouth making a big jump from 5 wins to 10. Marist and Rider about the same... FF a couple of games better. Niagara the same. And Canisius taking the biggest step backwards from 14 wins to 6. Hey I'm not always right but I usually am pretty close.

Listen no right or wrong here-- I mean Papi said Siena wouldn't 8 games last year, so you have to consider the source, but hey even a broken clock is right twice a day, so maybe this year papi is right for once ( I doubt it) but regardless everyone is entitled to their picks.. maybe Papi can explain how Manhattan lost 5 MAAC games last year- lost their 3 best players and he sees them losing less MAAC games this year

I just think 15 losses between Iona and Manhattan seems high. If it does happen Siena wins the league for fun. Both teams have good coaches and a system they don't need to reload just replace.

That's fine -- but you did say neither team would lose 5 games.. So you are on record saying they wont lose 10 games between them and MTS says 15-- will be interesting to see how it turns out. After MTS smoked you last year as far as predictions go..I'm sure you are itching to get him at least once after he "owned" you last year

He owes me at least 3 beers. Owned me? All I said is 7 and 8 losses seems a bit off for those two. Also I see mts picked Siena to beat Iona twice. That's wishful thinking in my opinion. You picked 20-9 I picked 19-10 +or-2. Who will smoke who? One more thing. If Iona and Manhattan lose that many games in the maac it will probably mean a 15 or 16 seed to the winner of the tournament unless someone else runs wild and wins 25 or more.

I crown you a better predictor of attendance than MTS-- but when it comes to predicting basketball games I'm sorry at least last year MTS smoked you badly. listen you said Iona and Manhattan wouldn't lose 5 games a piece.. -- are you backing off that prediction now? -- I see you waited till after MTS made his predictions to make yours-- considering how badly he mauled you last year- probably a smart move on your part-- that's why is so puzzling over you objecting over a few games-- if you think its out of the realm of possibility that Iona and Manhattan could lose 15 or more MAAC games-- I'm sorry you dont have a grasp on mid major basketball -- but that's just my opinion ..I mean MTS is saying 15-- you are saying 10 or less.. will be interesting to see if MTS "owns" you again

I'm not taking the bait though. Don't worry you'll have your chance to ban me during the season. I think more would agree under 10 losses for IC and MC. Just curious what do you think?

OK play the whoa is me card-- after you get "owned" And no I dont agree most would agree with 10 or less losses for Manhattan and Iona combined. That's your take-- and again this is a prediction thread so that's fine, it is after all just your opinion.

All this talk of MTS mauling Papi makes me think MTS could have a career on the wwe, at least as a jobber

Maybe next year I can put together a game by game. I should have enough MAAC knowledge by then to form an opinion.
Right now I see an undefeated home stand which means no one in the MAAC will sweep us. 15 or more MAAC wins and I would love to go 9-0 OOC or as close to that as possible with a couple close loses. No blowout loses and MAAC champs

If neither Manhattan nor Iona loses 5 games, Papi is actually predicting that they will have a maximum of 8 losses combined. Not going to happen.
