alb.merlinone.net/mweb/wmsql.wm.request?oneimage&imageid=6368298Ok SF I read the article. But the statement of Siena Fans about Franklin was that he did not dunk much as a freshman. I did not hear never but it was clear that he got much better by senior year I also see the similarities of Franklin and Long as well as the differences. Their impact on Siena basketball wont be the same because of those differences. Franklin to me is the closest Siena player we have to lavon. He would do well to approach his game-- I think he can. Franklin did everything before you even noticed he was doing it. Quietest superstar saint in history IMO.

When Iona was a 15 seed a couple years back their schedule was no better than ours will be this year and they were 11-7 in the MAAC. If we win 15+ regular season games in the MAAC and the MAAC Tourney we will get a 14 seed in most scenarios.

You have to add the passing and court vision that Lavon has along with those other 4..that is the difference between them and why their games will never be the same. Franklin had a great career at Siena Lavon is Lavon

I just like the fact we are talking about seeding already, haha. Wasn't that long ago we were wondering if we'd win 10 games. Some things are better off left in the vault.

His role for Siena did not include that per the article. Lavon fouled more than Franklin... that would be another difference and why those numbers look like that. 1.2 apg as a freshman for Lavon #Facts

Prorated to Lavon's minutes: Franklin 120 Lavon 148 Yep. But how do you know which fouls were offense vs. defense? Do you have a log? Could you please provide? Franklin got called for a lot of charges and hooking calls...if anything I'd say he had even more offensive fouls than Lavon...but you must have proof that of Lavon's extra 28 fouls per year more would be more offensive than Franklins'. ...And that Alex's higher assist ratio was less a result of having Lavon's 'vision' and more from being 'lucky.'

A 14 you start having a shot-- that's why you have to schedule better-- because Jimmy isn't use to going to NCAA's he doesn't know that yet.. and like I said I'm getting ahead of myself here..we have to win MAAC first.. but all those people saying the schedule is fine, will be the first ones to say we got screwed in our seed.. the NCAA doesn't care if you win 23 games in regular season but have a RPI of 110 .. but all that is way way ahead-- lets win the MAAC !!

I have film of every foul. And lets use real stats not what he would have got with Lavon's minutes. That's part of their differences between them. Lavon picked a school that he was able to start and play major mins right away. Franklin did not start as a feshman and was seen as an undersized PF for his entire career here. Lavon starts at the 3 and played more right out the gate.

Alex Franklin GENERAL: Physical post presence, who has added even more muscle entering this season...Plays well above size... Can take over a game inside, providing a great balance to Siena's talented back court...Holds his own on both ends of the court against much larger post players... A great competitor with a fearless mindset...Can score in a variety of ways and take his opponent off the dribble...Aggressive rebounder with a tremendous build... Creative around the basket...Has a knack for getting to the foul line, especially to finish old fashion 3-point plays. Lavon Long Versatile, physical talent who adds value in several roles Aggressive rebounder with a sneaky offensive game Excellent off the bounce and around the basket Above-average ball-handler, especially for his size Creates mismatches on both ends of the floor Two different players KK... this is from Siena website
