Just about the entire team, hell even Wright is dunking in practice. One of the side benefits of all the off season weight room work, I guarantee you see many more dunks this year ..Brett and JO both get off the floor , Lavon and Mo are also getting it, and WB is a highlight reel with some of his dunks Im hoping this is the case but cautiously optimistic. Getting those easy buckets flushed is definitely a bonus but I am still not sure about the team doing it in a game situation all that often. Getting up and down the floor will open up more opportunities. We will have to wait and see how much more they push the ball. Getting to the rim not only creates easier shots but will also create more free throw opportunities. Last year's team wasn't all that skilled at getting to the rim. Lets hope a year of development improves that area greatly. No SF they were freshmen last season. Lavon has been dunking since 8th grade. The freshmen dunking in college games on a regular are now in the NBA youtu.be/eVLLjGX9L1wGame dunks during AAU as a rising Jr. Now that his knees are well I expect to see more of this from Lavon

Last year:
PPG=69.3 PAPG=70.1
-.8 point differential
This needs to get positive before we talk about increased speed.
That comes from efficiency.
I'm hoping for something like averaging 71 points for and 68 against right now. +3 differential should put you in the top 4 most years.
Saints got a lot better on defense as the year went on so there's room to move there.
Hopefully, after Iona the offenses aren't as dynamic as the Manhattan, Canisius, Quinny, and Rider were last year. Worse league offense benefits Siena greatly. Saints will push around offensively challenged teams.

Its not the top offenses( or teams) that get you when you can’t score-- its the weaker teams who almost always struggle to score. The regular season champion is almost always one of top 4 or 5 scoring teams in conference , usually top 3. Jimmy last two years at Loyola he lost 3 games each year against the bottom of conference --in all those games his Loyola team struggled to score and lost 64-60 type games. When you cant score lower teams can hang around. One of the reasons why Frans team seldom lost against MAAC teams, if you couldn't score 80 ( and most lower level MAAC team cant- you couldn't beat Fran
Hey if we score 71..a plus 3-- that’s pretty good,, but last year a plus 3 would put you somewhere around 3rd in conference—that why I’d much rather see 73 ppg and give up 68 for a plus 5—which most years puts you at or very near top in MAAC ( last year Iona was plus 6.9 and Manhattan +6.1)
73 PPG is two more baskets a game- with more options on offense, more experience- certainly “doable” will we do it-- we shall see

These guys have plenty of talents. For most on the team, explosive leaping/dunking in in-game situations/finishing at the rim really isn't a strength with this team. Yet. Siena has had plenty of players capable of finishing/getting to the rim.... even as freshman. So often, I get the feeling that you judge Siena on the three years of Mitch ball. Or should I say, shit ball. This Siena team is one lacking in athleticism etc, moreso than many over the past 15-20 years. They have their talents though. It just isn't that

We have dunkers and they will dunk this season. Franklin did not dunk in games as a freshman. He got bigger stronger and better over the years

Franklin was a power forward. Lavon is a guard/forward. It says so on the official roster.

In his first collegiate game as a freshman @pac10 Stanford he went for 20 pts and had at least two dunks in that game. That was merely the beginning and had a number of dunks that year and beyond. Worst possible player for you to use as an example.

He continues to improve on his weaknesses. You worry too much about titles.

Sorry bad comparison-- Franklin had several dunks as a freshmen and Ubiles had even more. This Siena team is fun, but from an athleticism POV not even close to Fran's teams. Sorry cant find a video, but I'm sure they are out there, here is story about Franklin's 1st game and his two dunks. You have to remember PPC Siena fans have seen a lot of good players over the years.. those freshmen came within 90 seconds of winning the MAAC 4 straight years- Ubiles/Franklin and Moore is probably the greatest class in MAAC history . certainly in Siena history. This team reminds me a lot of Hewitts teams that were good, won a lot of games but because of lack of athleticism struggled in up games or NCAA games alb.merlinone.net/mweb/wmsql.wm.request?oneimage&imageid=6368298

Let's not compare the teams as that was then and this is now. Top three in regular season, A MAAC championship at home, a 14 seed or higher and an upset in the first round of the NCAA's would satisfy me this year.........
Hey, a guy can dream!

I agree- no point in comparison- but I will say this, with the schedule we have this year almost no chance at 14 seed, unless some teams we are playing are much better than predicted
