WOW! We all love our Saints. But with many of us being much older, some of us senior citizens, sometimes it's hard to remember what young kids go through. And some of these young men have experienced some tough situations that none of us have ever had to endure. I'm proud to see the way he's hanging in there and working hard. Here's another example of how important it is to have fine assistants like Lucious Jordan there to serve as role models and mentors. I was thrilled when I read that JP had hired him.

He better bring it vs. Cady Lalanne and Esho in game 1. Tough start for the young man. If he gets pushed around, you know JP won't hesitate to go small or bring in someone else. Needs to be ready right out the gate.

Needs to be ready right out the gate. At 6-10, 250 Lalanne is a handful. He's a double-digit scorer who will probably get his during that game. I don't know of any MAAC centers that Lalanne wouldn't be able to push around to some degree. Esho at 6'8, 215 is of far less concern. Siena big men ought to be pushing him around. Siena has a platoon of playable big men they can throw at these guys. Wearing them down will be the key.

Esho, last year, averaged about 12.5 pts & 7 boards per 30 mins...in the A-10. 47 steals & 41 blks per 1,000 mins. He would be All-MAAC with those rates easy. Judging by those steals he's quick enough to get out on Bisping too. The frontcourt D has to be especially strong vs them. I hope JO is ready. His rebounding rate from last year scares me and I'd feel more comfortable with Silas out there but hopefully JO has turned the corner as has been said. This is a team we need to force outside. These bigs are very turnover prone and we have to take advantage and force them into mistakes. If we let them do their thing in the paint we'll get killed. We have to play tough like last year. JO needs to be up for that. We can beat them with our scoring versatility since they lack shooters but it has to start by neutralizing their strength on the boards. If that's pretty even, I love our chances. If not...it could be a tough one on the road. Luckily though, I think our guards rebound better than their guards. Maybe that helps make up some of the difference.

Maybe that helps make up some of the difference. Well Esho only averaged 8.9 over the 21 minutes he actually played. We'll see how that translates this year. I meant size-wise he is of less concern - I know he can play. A platoon of Bisping, JO, Brandwijk, and Silas should be able to handle these guys. And I'm not sure UMass will have an answer for Long. I'd look for Patsos to sit in a zone all night against these guys. That's what I'd do. Force their guards to try and beat us from the perimeter.

We haven't seen him in a real game yet, but I have been extremely impressed by WB in the two practices I've seen. He is very active, strong on the boards, always in the middle of it. I definitely think you will be seeing him in the UMass game. He doesn't look or play like a freshman.

JO has a year of college experience. WB is coming from prep school and is the same age as our sophomores and that explains the body. Its the experience he must gain to beat out JO and Silas. I still see the 3 headed center this season. And either Wolfe plays more 4 than 5 or he redshirts is my bet

Not a starting lineup, but could we see wright, Poole, long, Wolfe and brandwijk on the floor at the same time. Loads of combos q is how good will they all stack up. I am genuinely getting anxious for season to start.
