Do we know where Lamb stands? Does Siena still have any interest?

No ships right now and not sure he shoots well enough if we have an open ship. Probably still on radar though

Several coaches have told me over the years- recruiting is never done. You never know when a scholarships will be open. We currently have 7 sophomores and 3 freshmen on roster, generally don’t see that many underclassmen. Something has to give. So never say never

So never say never Patsos wont be running any of HIS players off that HE brought in. I feel pretty confident about that statement. The players that left were not recruited by Patsos.

Someone getting run off is not the only way a scholarship could open up. Someone could determine that his opportunity for playing time is not what he envisioned and might want to transfer to a place where the PT opportunities are or are perceived to be greater than at Siena. As Tony said, recruiting is never done. At this time last year, Jimmy had no scholarships to give, but Paige and Brandwijk are here, and so is Gottfried.

The openings for Paige and Brandwijk did not come by happenstance, they were by design. That practice will end soon. I like that the Big 10 has instituted guaranteed 4 year scholarships. Others will have to follow if they expect to be competitive for recruits.

Or someone could win the lottery, move to Hawaii, buy a beach home, learn to salsa, and die in an unfortunate volcano luging accident because they were distracted while reading the Devil Wears Prada. Stuff happens.

That's because players not recruited by Patsos decided to seek playing time elsewhere. The players here now have brought in to their roles and I dont see anyone walking away

That's because players not recruited by Patsos decided to seek playing time elsewhere. The players here now have brought in to their roles and I dont see anyone walking away You very well might be right. However with the depth we have a few players are not going to be happy. They might be fine playing sparingly off the bench or maybe opt to look at another situation for more playing time. Of course if it is players such as Hymes or Silas drawing the short straw if won't matter since they are seniors. I also think that Gottfried has to "earn" his scholarship. This is just my opinion of it I have no inside information but I don't think he is automatically getting one despite what Jimmy might have said to the media. If he does not demonstrate he is a D1 player I do not think he will get a scholarship. This would not be "pulling" it but rather not offering one. I think the deal is he will have the chance to COMPETE for one but it is not a lock guarantee. I could see Gottfried getting one for his senior season but not for three years if he is going to be nailed to the bench. As we all know it is a business and Jimmy has to win and win big.
