Before we play those teams we will be in sub regional( maybe even hosting/) this year the 4 scrub teams in sub regional - N Dakota state hosted Hampton, Alcorn state, Kennesaw State
then those 4 teams go on road and play at Syracuse, At Texas, at California at Iowa-- only Iowa, Texas, California and Syracuse go to MSG --even if one of the scrubs upset them
Alcorn state RPI 315 Kennesaw State – 325 Hampton 213 N Dakota State was 32
So basically as the host team N Dakota state gets 2 wins before they go on road for ass kicking to "seeded “ teams
So now next year we get at least 4 dogs in non conference in Cornell, Loyola, two scrubs from 2k classic , if we have any room left Jimmy will probably add Maine or New Hampshire

Here is this years schedule: www.gazellegroup.com/events/wwp/schedule.htmThere are 8 teams total. Four big name programs and four mid to low majors. Each of the mids play 2 road games against the big boys. The outcomes of these opening round games are meaningless, the four big boys go on and play at MSG while the four mids play on campus of one of the schools.

Got it, so since we aren't one of the seeded teams then I really hope there is an Albany sub-regional where we are getting two home games out of it with no return game.

Uggghhh, just read we are traveling to Rhode Island to take on Bryant, Radford, and another team. This is really horrible, not worth the $100,000.

Mark has a further update: tinyurl.com/nqrg2j9Bryant is hosting the sub regional. Bryant, Siena, Radford, TBD.

So from the only article I can find, Siena gets paid somewhere from $50k to $90k for a guarantee game. So we could have scheduled Georgetown and VCU or Duke in guarantee games separately and got at least the $100k without having to play the garbage in Rhode Island. I can completely understand this if Albany got to host the subregional but there was absolutely no reason to accept this deal where the subregional is in Rhode Island. I can't imagine that every other exempt event had already told us no.

If my math is correct we'll play FOUR games in this tournament?
@ Georgetown @ VCU or @ Duke -Two games in Rhode Island (against two of the following Bryant, Radford and TBD)
The only I don't like is not getting any home games out of it.
Hopefully we'll get VCU rather than Duke as it's a more winnable game with still being a very high RPI opponent.
The schedule looks very good for next year. I do agree that Jimmy needs to try and schedule better home and home games against top mid-majors and hopefully get to a Puerto Rico or Diamondhead type of tournament.

Gazelle Group same people who gave us the C B I . It will be nice to see one of the scrubs this year knock off one of the big boys before we do it next year.

There you go. Patsos asks us on the official visit who we wanted to play first MD or Georgetown? I said Georgetown and its done I was confident and never concerned about the schedule. Patsos is a man of his word once again.

Well lets see how you feel if we win the MAAC this year and get a 15/16-- because that's what we are looking at-- probably something similar next year-- in case you dont know a 16 has no chance--- a 15 has slim to no chance. I dont want to hear anyone bitching we got screwed in the seed ( if we are lucky enough to get the bid) also unless you finish 1st no chance at NIT bid..

2k. The worst possible tournament. Basically two guarantee games plus two additional road/neutral games. Why not just host a few more games at the tuc?
