You can't deny his blocking ability for sure. I do like the idea of a lot of "big" fresh bodies being platooned into the "5." We have the numbers, let's hope JP can utilize them. Use them? You remember last years substitution pattern right? He could use them all and more. Pure insanity at times.

For what it's worth, despite the fact that Brandwijk is deemed more of SF by observers, he's got some defensive mojo and some beef to him. He's played prep and in Europe so the guy has some court smarts to him. I've seen 2 full games of this kid. I think he has a better defensive motor than JO did coming out high school. Granted he was playing as a SF a lot of the time, but it's there. Patsos gets his guys to step it up a notch in the toughness department. You combine that with his athleticism, shooting, and attacking ability....and this kid's gonna play a lot. He could even start for 4 years. Imoh is gonna play, I think, for the reasons stated above. He can play his 15-17 mpg and do a lot with it from a team perspective. Silas is the complete opposite of Bisping and Brandwijk and is like throwing a nasty changeup at them. I don't think JO and Wolfe provide a change of pace or a specialty just yet. Both could be great 2 years from now but I think they both need time. So for this year...I say go with Bisping, Brandwijk, and Silas as the primary frontcourt trio. Go small at times with Long to get more guards involved and take advantage of matchups and there you go.

A lot can change over next 6 or 7 weeks,,,but as of today…WB is a nice player, but like all freshmen Brandwijk has his good days and bad days, he will get playing time. JO has really matured both physically and emotionally, he is a beast on the boards, admittedly it’s very early, but so far the most impressive big man. Both JO and Lavon really benefited from a summer of hard work and trip to Europe… look for a really big year out of Lavon , he has shed some body fat and is built like a man, and stroking the ball very well. Team has a lot of weapons this year, and competition for playing time will be intense

The rest of the team doesn't really matter though. Not when Siena has this guy:
