Siena shouldn't put up with this-- we all knew that trip was a bunch of bull****. Cancel the series and replace it with a road guarantee game. That will give the fans the "name" some of them want and a little money for the school to pay for the stipends. We have 20 games already that are the same every single year. No need for the Ualbany game-- it has run its course. Why get rid of the biggest attended game on the schedule? I think now that UA has won a few it is becoming more of a rivalry type game. If the game was played on 11/22 the next home game would have been 12/23. Not good scheduling either way. Probably not correct, Papi. There will be two MAAC games between December 3 and 8. One is almost certainly going to be at home. We went to Buffalo in December last season.

This schedule doesn't get your player better. It help Jimmy resume in the long run. If we win all the games. I don't completely disagree but this schedule was made (all of it) before a game was even played last year. Had we not finished strong and won the CBI then Jimmy would have had MAJOR pressure not to start off with two losing seasons to begin his Siena career. Let's hope it is just a one year aberration. Jimmy will start to feel the heat if he doesn't start to schedule better. This year's sophomores will be juniors, Bisping a senior, Brandwijk/Paige with a year under their belts plus the incoming frosh the schedule should be much more challenging and I'm confident it will be.

www.sienasaints.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/082114aab.htmlMAAC schedule should be out soon. 11/14 @ UMass, 7pm 11/17 vs. Vermont, 7pm 11/19 @ St. Bonaventure, 7pm 11/29 @ Loyola, TBD 12/1 @ Fordham, 7pm 12/13 vs. UAlbany, TBD 12/19 @ Radford, 7pm 12/23 vs. Cornell, 7pm 12/28 vs. Bucknell, TBD Don't need to rehash that it is not a very strong schedule. Let's hope it's just a one time thing and Jimmy improves the slate in 2015-16 and beyond. We want to play the best teams possible and beat them. That said we need to go out and take care of business against this schedule. The UMass game will be by far the toughest test on opening day (85 days away!). If we can somehow steal that game going 9-0 isn't off the table. I think though 7-2 or at worst 6-3 is a reasonable bet against this schedule. Let's go Saints!!!!!! UMASS -- NCAAs 2014, NIT 2000, 2007, 2008,2012,2013 VERMONT -- NCAAs 2003,2004,2005, 2010,2012, NIT 2007, 2011, 2014 St. Bonaventure NCAAs 2000, 2012, NIT 2001, 2002 LOYOLA -- NCAA 2012 Fordham -- None lol Ualbany -- NCAA 2006, 2007, 2013, 2014 Radford -- NCAA 2009 Cornell --NCAA 2008, 2009, 2010 Bucknell -- NCAA 2005, 2006, 2011, 2013, NIT 2012 Siena -- NCAA 2002, 2008, 2009, 2010, NIT 2000, 2003 If you look at the above, every non conference opponent on the schedule has been to the NCAAs or the NIT tournament the same year or more recently than Siena except Radford and Fordham. At the very least, if we are complaining than those schools would have the right to complain about Siena being on their schedule too.

At the very least, if we are complaining than those schools would have the right to complain about Siena being on their schedule too. Right it's not a horrible schedule when you look at it like that but if you look at the RPI's from last year and what each team returns it's not the type of slate you'd like to see when you have a team capable of winning the MAAC championship. Cornell and Loyola especially hurt - both were really bad last year and both lost their best players. If you replace those two with two higher level teams I think it would actually be a pretty good schedule. I like to Siena play at least one BCS game a year (and be in an ESPN run exempt tournament every other year if possible - play the most games that way 31 regular season). I'd rather lose to Tennessee than to beat New Hampshire and for RPI purposes it is also better.

MTS, coaches are paid to.win games. Losing games to tougher competition might look good to diehard fans but in the long run its doesn't look good on the resume. Its the tough part of the job. Playing Cornell 4 years ago would have been considered a good game on the schedule, now its a joke. This years schedule has balance very similar to last years with the exception of the Old Spice games.

You can thank Will Brown for the 10 day gap in November. The Albany game was set for Nov. 22 before the "trip" to Cancun was "scheduled." Siena shouldn't put up with this-- we all knew that trip was a bunch of bull****. Cancel the series and replace it with a road guarantee game. That will give the fans the "name" some of them want and a little money for the school to pay for the stipends. We have 20 games already that are the same every single year. No need for the Ualbany game-- it has run its course. Agreed...we've kicked the shit out of you enough in recent years. Time to move on to a better opponent... This is the final year of the contract... We have a new ad who hopefully has a backbone.. True home and home or cancel it. You'll be fine without it and so will we.

UA is 4 and 9 vs Siena with 2 of your last 3 wins vs a team playing Mitch ball and the other vs a team that started 3 frosh playing in the 1st game of the season. Party's over A-hole! UA is in no position to dictate squat !!!! The game is fine as it stands. It draws 10-11k and provides a big time college b-ball atmosphere. It's a fun event, leave it alone!

That's what we all said 4 years ago. Why are we playing this team? We won 9 out of 10. Never should have renewed it. Take our slot, schedule Manhattan, get your 1,200 fans there (600 in Riverdale) and you'll "show" us Let's hope your AD has a backbone.

Clack’s post is too funny. Yeah let’s hope your AD has a back bone ..LOL let him walk away from one of UA’s bigger paydays of the year. UA has zero leverage here – true home and home.. in case you haven’t noticed UA is in Albany. This fool comes to the Siena board like a hot shot—go ahead and let his AD walk away from the game--- not sure what part of this Clack doesn’t understand his tiny gym is too small to accommodate Siena fans. UA should have built a bigger gym, then again hard to justify that when you get 1200 a game
