www.sienasaints.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/082114aab.htmlMAAC schedule should be out soon. 11/14 @ UMass, 7pm 11/17 vs. Vermont, 7pm 11/19 @ St. Bonaventure, 7pm 11/29 @ Loyola, TBD 12/1 @ Fordham, 7pm 12/13 vs. UAlbany, TBD 12/19 @ Radford, 7pm 12/23 vs. Cornell, 7pm 12/28 vs. Bucknell, TBD Don't need to rehash that it is not a very strong schedule. Let's hope it's just a one time thing and Jimmy improves the slate in 2015-16 and beyond. We want to play the best teams possible and beat them. That said we need to go out and take care of business against this schedule. The UMass game will be by far the toughest test on opening day (85 days away!). If we can somehow steal that game going 9-0 isn't off the table. I think though 7-2 or at worst 6-3 is a reasonable bet against this schedule. Let's go Saints!!!!!!

Gannon D2 exhibition game at ARC scheduled for 11/8.
Anyone know anything about Gannon? I confess, I'll need to look them up (or Google them ).

Why all the complaints about that schedule? Looks reasonable with some solid teams. Siena will probably be favored in only the home games.

The only game Siena will be a clear underdog in is UMass. St. Bonnie and Fordham they could be a slight dog depending on how both teams are playing when the game takes place. Siena clearly will be a favorite against Loyola and Radford (though Radford is a decent team).

I agree, papi. This is a very good, intelligent schedule. Let's build our program this year, continue the success we built upon last season and slowly work in a few "big names" in the future when possible. Looks like an exciting year.

With the exception of Cornell (which it took a career game and last second tip in by Silas to beat last year) who is an easy win? You get way ahead of yourself. These games get you ready for league play and its full of maac type teams.

OK- I'm calling it right now! We are going to beat St Bonaventure and Fordham! I hope your right—but Fordham should be improved this year and Bonnies are always tough at home. – Bucknell was 16-14 last year and loses 3 of their top 4 players. Vermont loses everyone- so I expect them to take a step back--- UA was only 4 games over 500 last year and will probably be a 500 team or so this year. Loyola stinks. Umass will be good, Radford will be a tough game-- I’d take a split with Bonnies and Fordham ..like to finish 6-3 vs that schedule preferably 7-2 or better

If you want to be a MAAC contender-- you have to beat Loyola ( they stink this year) Cornell-- the AE teams the big South team in Radford ( although Radford will be good-- that will be a tough game)..a mid pack PL team in Bucknell. If you want to be a 5th place finisher-- then you are right Papi all those games will be tough

My point is this schedule is a testing schedule and should get Siena ready for maac play. I will add the home part does suck, almost a month between games, then another week plus for another game. 5-4 or better and 70+ a game will be nice.
To me it doesn't matter what conference a team comes from, its the team that matters.

The schedule is fine- it's the Maac schedule that's weak.
