I would not be able to forgive myself if I didn't have Brown on any team.
Marc Brown 5 Marquis Wright 1 can't pass him up for the price Jim Cantamessa 3 I loved watching him shoot. Lee Matthews 2 one of my all-time favorites Ryan Rossiter 4 need I even say why!
I don't know how anyone would stop us from scoring.

PG Wright (1) SG. Poole (2) SF. Ubiles (4) PF. Franklin (4) C. Rossiter (4) My alternative is to drop Poole, move Ubiles to the 2 and Franklin to the 3 and insert Bisping at the 4, but I prefer Robbie from behind the arc. WOW love this line up!!!!

My friend Mr. Siena didn't follow the rules putting Dwight Walton and Ricky Williams on the team. Dwight had one year and Ricky three. This leads to another whole thread Best Players not finishing Four years. Pretty good team could be made out of the following: Jeff Dowdye, Dan Terwilliger, Rich Furr, Corey Easley, Dwight Walton, Ricky Williams, Kolin Weaver(?0 Jason McKinney. I'm sure I missed others . As an old guy I'm trying to avoid living in the past.

Yeah I was also thinking about guys like McClinton, Kojo Mensah, even Al Fisher who didn't do much at Siena ended up being his conference's POY. Walton is the name I always hear (although admittedly he was before my time, never saw him play).

I think I'd shy away from the 5-point guys here. Wright seems like a bargain at 1 pt. Maybe this:
G Bennerman G Wright F Poole / CJ F Franklin C Rossiter
The thought of Bennerman playing with Rossiter instead of Matt Gras is mouthwatering...

I'm going to mix things up a bit:
Bennerman Knapp Jordan Long Rossiter
Bennerman, Rossiter and Jordan were have to haves. That left me room for a 3 and a 1. I thought about Haddix/Wright but after looking at it a bit, you can't beat how versatile that Long is at the 4 (forgive me Ms. Long) and I'd love to have Knapp on the wing with this lineup.
Franklin/Rossiter was a debate with Rossiter winning out because of his height.

As an old guy I'm trying to avoid living in the past. If we play by the rules, then we can't select any player from like 1970 something and earlier since players were only allowed to play 3 yrs of eligibility. Heck we wouldn't even be able to select one of the greatest rebounders in Siena history, who 's jersey we retired and who's name is on the annual rebounding award. Maybe it should be whoever played their entire career with Siena. That way you'd be able to include most of players from the 70s & earlier. That raises another point if we use non D1 players' stats how would that compare to if they played D1? My head hurts, I'm gonna stop thinking about this before I hurt myself. I don't have much to work with (up stairs) so I 'll save what little I have.

Obviously, as a fan of Mousse Diop, I have no love for the 3 pointer nor do I see any problems with clogging the middle. Also, its totally unfair since my team will eventually have 4 MAAC POYs, 5 MAAC first-teamers, and Siena's first NBA draft selection. I'll repost this in 3 years when Lavon and Marquis are both worth 5 Marquis Wright (1) Kenny Hasbrouk (5) Lavon Long (1) Alex Franklin (4) Ryan Rossiter (4) Also, props to saintmisbehavin for a noble effort to entertain us all.

I will take this 5.... well done. Ubiles was in the gym playing pickup today. He was on the team with Lavon Poole Hymes and Silas and they won several games. I hope Franklin, Rossiter, and Hasbrouk make an appearance.

Thanks MDF! I am a bit disappointed to see you didn't pick Mousse for your five! I'm pretty sure he is the Siena career leader in picks set per game. I like your lineup btw - it's about as close an approximation as you can get to actually re-creating the 3-peat team (which wouldn't be possible given the player values - I thought it would be a bit of a cop out to be able to just pick those 5).

You have 15 points to build your dream Siena starting 5. Assume each player in their prime, injury-free. Only players who played four seasons with Siena (except active players):
5 - Biz 4- Edwin 3 - OD 2 - CJ 1 - Sniezyk
This was fun trying to find the right mix within a limited point system. Thanks for putting this together.
