From what I saw yesterday the player development is right on schedule. Freshmen are hard pressed to get time. Wright will not average 30+ mins and no one else will either. The top 4 right now is Wright Poole Long and Bisping. Bisping is learning the 3 and Paige is more 3/4 than 2/3.. White got his ups back and Long is working on his explosion as well as shooting this summer. WB is prob the most ready freshman on the roster. Wolfe has even more bounce than when he arrived as his squat weight has increased over 100lbs while he gained 10lbs to 15lbs that is sticking. Looking good folks. Standby for clips. The talk of Bisping trying out the SF is intriguing. Jimmy seems to have accepted him as a major piece. Moving Bisping around at this point means he's a focal point and Jimmy wants to create more lineup flexibility to give him more varied lineup options...yet keep Bisping on the floor. It also could just be a product of wanting Lavon inside more and Brett outside more on offense.

Why, did we add a PG to this new class I haven't heard of yet? Not sure why his minutes would dip with the addition of Paige, WB and Gottfried?? None of them can play the point. The gap between Wright and the next best PG is the same as the gap in Michael Strahans two front teeth.....HUGE. He doesn't get 34 min a night, it hurts our team....period. Wright did not play 34 mins a game at the end of the season You're right, he played 35 min a game! And that included the CBI final (29 min) because of foul trouble. He's hands down our most indispensable player, and still is, after the '14 recruiting class didn't include any PG's.

And like I told you before he is not best suited at the 5 like you kept saying. Those HS videos I saw of him spell shooter not post player. Patsos will allow his players to use their skills no matter how tall they are. Also playing Bisping at the 3 does not make Lavon more of an inside player. His skill set is improving not regressing. With Bisping at the 3 you will see Lavon at the 2 and WB getting mins at the 4/5 and Poole playing very little 3. We are a hugh team with 6'8 Bisping at the 3 with 6'9 at the 4 and 5. I saw a bunch of different lineups the other day. Its the defensive side that will dictate the positions and lineups.

I wont put anymore pressure on him than that. We have a very good team with versatile players and that is how will win.

It's a lot different when there's 6 min scoring drought vs St. Pete's. Lavon is still our best post scorer...what I see is him getting a few more post feeds and kicking to Bisping. It's really not much different from last year except that Jimmy now has more confidence in Bisping playing the type of game he was brought here to play in the first place. It means Bisping will be shooting more this year. If he's outside, someone's got to be inside. Maybe he throws a JO or Silas/WB/Bisping/Long linuep out there occasionally but do you really think we're going to bench all these 2Gs and give up that much speed? Doubt it. Jimmy is experimenting with all his toys right now but is prepping Brett to score more...and Lavon to excel in his comfort zone.

He's just the ONLY PG on our roster. That, and being the best PG in the league, is the reason why I think he should, and will, play 34 min a game.....probably his whole career. As a fan, I have no problem with the conferences best position player playing that many minutes either. The opposition hopes he plays less, like you and MTS. I want that kid on the floor as much as possible.

He's not a super scorer whose gonna come off the bench and put up 20 a lot. He's a PG who's primary value comes from his unique ability to change the turnover margin of games on both sides of the ball. You maximize that ability by playing him as much as his body can reasonably allow for. Like Moore was, he's a game manager. You need him out there to manage.

Not taking anything away from Wright but I disagree that we cant win unless he plays 34 mins per game. We will see him play what he began to play near the end. And he wont have to play 40 mins like he did last season in any games this year.

I don't anticipate Hymes playing ANY SG. They both won't be on the court at the same time. We need Wright on the floor in crunch time so sitting him earlier in the game especially with foul trouble and keeping him fresh is important. I agree he probably already is the best PG in the MAAC and if he can develop even a decent outside shot he'll be one of the best players period in the MAAC.

Patsos will move Lavon around alot. He can hold his own on both sides of the ball at several spots.
We will not sacrifice speed for size. We have big guards with speed.

What I did say was our chances of winning are much better with him playing a lot since we didn't sign a PG this year. There's a couple stopgaps (Hymes/Oliver...even Cole), but the best thing for our team is to have #1 on the court as much as possible.
