My only concern when having good players like Paige and/or Wolfe redshirt is running the risk of not getting a full return on your investment since they could possibly decide to become 5th year SRS as graduate students at higher level BCS programs. I understand some here think there is no chance a play would ever want to leave Siena, but with over 500 transfers a year anything is possible. I don't think either one is that much of a project and can compete this year in the MAAC and especially with the weak OOC schedule.

KK Come to the workout. Do not go by what you hear go by what you see. Paige is a freshman. Do you honestly think that my son is going to let him take his position. Do me one favor when is season start I want you to eat your words and get on here and apologize to everybody. KK. I love when you count my son out.We have something to prove to you. You have a bless day. I'm done with it. Wouldn't surprise me to see Paige redshirt. Then he basically replaces Poole in '15-'16 HJ , I 'm sure KK will disagree. He's already using his HS stats indicating what he'll do during freshman year. In all seriousness I don't see Paige being RS'ed. Wolfe maybe but not Paige . Regarding the 5 th yr transfer comment, that's assuming a player graduates in 4 yrs. That's really tough for BBall players. I thought only some graduate in 4 yrs, not the norm; or am I wrong on that assumption ?

You're making my argument for me. Wright and Poole will play more than you think (34 min each). I think Cole, White and Oliver are ahead of Paige right now. Cole comes in at he 2/3 for offense, and White for defense. Oliver has proven he can be valuable shooter off the bench. The freshman Paige has the toughest road to get minutes. When Poole and his 34 graduate, it'll be easier to get some. Plus he'll be much more prepared to play. Wolfe still makes the most sense in order to balance the classes, and gain valuable time to work on his body and his "X and O" aptitude, BUT looks like they wanna see what he can do this year. The two seniors (Hymes and Silas) look to be the ones getting lost in this deep shuffle of talent. Wright may play 34 minutes a game again (depending on how well Hymes/Cole can run the point) but I doubt Poole will. Poole is a very good player who I think will excel even more not having to carry the weight of the world on his back. Last year teams zoned in on him as the main offensive threat. I look for him to play around 28 minutes a game. I agree with Gorvy's sentiment that we should be very careful with using red-shirts (I'd make an exception for Wolfe to balance classes and needs more time to get stronger). Having the extra guy if you have a lot of injuries or simply if the playing rotation isn't getting it done that particular night it is a nice luxury to be able to potential have another answer off the bench. I agree with Hymes and Silas. Hymes averaged just under 20 MPG last year and Silas just under 17 MPG. Hymes is looking at best 10 minutes a game backing up Wright. His minutes at SG will be very limited if at all. Silas' minutes will be taken by Brandwijk and JO. He is a good shot blocker and defensive player but no offense. I could see him getting spot time when we have a lead and just need rebounding and defense (5-7 minutes a game).

I am sure most graduate in 4 years. Taking classes every summer allows them to have enough credits. Just think if most didn't graduate after their SR year of playing hoops every program would be ineligible for postseason play because of the APR hit. Just alone in the MAAC Mason left as a 5th year SR and Iona and Monmouth both recruited 5th year SRS for this season

Still, would love to see a line-up of Wright, White, Paige, Long and Silas out there at times. I'm not sure any team besides Iona would score against it

HJ , I 'm sure KK will disagree. I have no comment. I don't know anything about basketball. I don't even watch the games.

The team finished 165 in the RPI with all of this talent. Everybody wears a green shirt.

From what I saw yesterday the player development is right on schedule. Freshmen are hard pressed to get time. Wright will not average 30+ mins and no one else will either. The top 4 right now is Wright Poole Long and Bisping. Bisping is learning the 3 and Paige is more 3/4 than 2/3.. White got his ups back and Long is working on his explosion as well as shooting this summer. WB is prob the most ready freshman on the roster. Wolfe has even more bounce than when he arrived as his squat weight has increased over 100lbs while he gained 10lbs to 15lbs that is sticking. Looking good folks. Standby for clips.

Wright will not average 30+ mins Why, did we add a PG to this new class I haven't heard of yet? Not sure why his minutes would dip with the addition of Paige, WB and Gottfried?? None of them can play the point. The gap between Wright and the next best PG is the same as the gap in Michael Strahans two front teeth.....HUGE. He doesn't get 34 min a night, it hurts our team....period.

Wright and Silas are the only 2 players that only play one position. The more you do the more you play
