Story says he's from Albany, but he's actually from Syracuse (played at J-D with Triche and Coleman). Pretty sure the Orange are a good bet to land him too.

The problem with kids from places like Wake, or Duke, or Stanford... Siena (or any other MAAC school) probably doesn't match their academic profile. If he was a supporting cast member at Wake, I doubt you see him at Syracuse, even less chance at PT and only mehhh academics. If he is looking to get closer to home, Cornell or Colgate might match up better.

Yeah Tyler is from Dewitt ( outside of Syracuse) he played for Rocks that's why they are confusing him from Albany - Dewitt is outside of Syracuse as much as Loudonville is outside of Albany. They're practically synonymous. Tyler was recruited by Siena and would be a tremendous MAAC player. I think he will actually end up being a more productive D1 player than his HS teammate, oft-injured Cuse player Dejuan Coleman.

He would NOT dominate the MAAC

Wil Regan averaged 11 pts and 6 rbs for Buffalo this year after transferring from Virginia and is similar in size to Cavanaugh but I think Tyler would put up better numbers than that if he plays in the MAAC.

I keep forgetting 'Cuse is in the ACC, so he can't transfer there from WF. Solid mid-majors would make sense. I think Northeastern, GW and Davidson would have a good shot at him, but Siena would be a great spot for him too, and he'd be pretty close to home.
He's a kid I'd really try to get here. He wouldn't dominate the MAAC, but he's definitely a difference-maker type of kid.

Cavanaugh decides on GW. I'm guessing Lonegran having Carmen City Rock as an assistant didnt' hurt on this one.

If we get Cavanaugh, we don't get Bisping. I think it's worked out alright. Based on what they've done so far. I wouldn't trade Brett for him.

I admit I don't know anything about Cavanaugh but I do know I like Brett's play/toughness. Plus I believe Brett had offer ( or at least interest) from Minnesota. So both players could have gone higher.

I'm sure I remember reading an article about Brett & MN.
