Verbal commits says Siena offered 6'2" Reggie Gardner of DeMatha today. Is he the second player from DeMartha Siena has offered, or are there more within the past year? I know Siena offered Grant for 2015. Sounds like that school has tons of talent. Nice connection to have.

a new name:
2016 Gonzaga (DC) shooting guard Nigel Stewart - Stewart is a slashing guard who can score the ball in a variety of ways, primarily by getting to the cup. He can shoot it a bit, but most of his points came off of fast break layups where he is quick and aggressive in the lane. Stewart is trying to transition into a combo guard where his size and improving jump shot will help him out, especially once he improves his handle. The junior is also a good rebounder and defender because of the energy level that he plays with on a consistent basis. This has led to interest from American, Maine, Mount St. Mary's, UNC Greensboro and Siena with no formal offers as of now.

Ray Jerome, formerly of Albany Academy, now at Cheshire Academy (CT), picked up an offer from Penn.
Ray is a 2016 kid, and is super athletic 6'3" guard. We should keep an eye on him.
ps--CCSU (where Nails is going) may have also offered him recently. He learns how to play, watch out!

Has anyone been following Albert Odero at Oneonta High School? Seems to have talent and loves to dunk.

I haven't seen him play. Obviously one of the best in the area, but at this juncture Siena needs to land A-10 caliber athletes, ready to contribute immediately type players. If he fits that bill go get him.

If he fits that bill go get him. Siena needs a lot for 2015. A 2016 recruit with offers from the cross town rival, a conference rival, and an Ivy school should definitely be on the radar.

I'm sure he and other local players are on the radar, but 2015 signings will impact 2016 need too. There are still more left in 2015. I agree, Siena should be in the mix for the best local talent particularly if there is a need and a fit.
