Might have to step up the perimeter game just to play the PF now. Yes oh course PT will be earned at every position. We need everyone to get better by improving weaknesses. Lavon knows what he has to do to keep his spot. Someone will have to take it... HS stats dont always transfer to college esp freshman year. So we will see what the freshmen bring when they get here.... There is also more to playing than just shooting 3's.. one dimensional players or poor defenders wont replace more rounded players because they can shoot. I'm just giving you a hard time.

Yes oh course you are.. cant point at the FT shooting anymore so now its the 3 pt shooting. The off season will be put to good use. Its all muscle memory with shooting. Perfect practice makes perfect. I am still the personal trainer

I am very curious as to what type of player he was 5 years ago. Do you have any film on that?

Do you have any film on that? I'm sure the video is still on youtube somewhere. You should do a complete remake. It would make for great fodder for the coming season. At the end...for your big finish Lavon should add a table and a couch to go with the chair ..dribble between all...and then dunk on a lamp (Laury's face could be on the lampshade) stare at the camera and roll credits. "Siena Saints: Coming to a Living Room near You" A slow motion godzilla roar during the dunk would be preferred but not required.

Maybe we could also get Imoh to do a remake of the Dikembe Mutombo Geico commercial...

3 for 8 is what Lavon needs to be shooting from downtown per game if he expects to play a lot at the 3 going forward. Jimmy Paige and Pat Cole are coming and the competition for playing time will be fierce a the 2 and 3. So now would be a good time to step up the perimeter game. Lavon will never be one dimensional. I doubt he shoots 8 3's per game from the 3 or 4 spot. The shooting will continue to spread out and Lavon will continue to use his advantage vs smaller 3's inside and take bigger 4's off the dribble. As a starter playing 25+ mins per game he will get 10 to 12 shots per game so 8 of them will not be 3 pointers. Oliver made a mark making 1 3pter per game as his numbers increased. Lavon could do the same thing along with all of the other things he does. Right now his defense and ballhandling keep him on the floor My comment was hyperbole of course. I don't actually expect Lavon to shoot 8 threes per game. But it would be nice if he established himself as a threat from outside to keep defenders honest. Hitting only 3 shots from downtown the whole season is a bit less than what is expected from his position. 1 or 2 a game on 3 or 4 attempts would be nice. From what I saw he has a nice stroke from 3. I think he hit the first one of his career right in front of me at the Albany game (I was seated on the floor).

If Lavon works hard and can stay out of foul trouble next year I can easily see Lavon as a 13 and 7 guy next year

Now that Poole has a taste of winning I think he is the key to the season. We know he is capable of big games --- a few more points from him on a consistent basis, along with a flu shot, could be the difference between a fifth place finish and a championship.

Marquis Wright's FT% by month. www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/marquis-wright-2/splits/2014/November = 38.9% December = 61.1% January = 68.8% February = 76.9% March = 85.7% April = 85.7% He's only a 52.9% FT shooter on Fridays though. We should consider that in the scheduling process. Of note, he had 9 blocks in the 7 postseason games. If he continues at that rate he'd have around 40 blocks next year and be on the cover of Sports Illustrated. I think he's a potential defensive POY candidate next year.

He also had to lead the league in "almost steals". Seemed like 2 or 3 times a game he knocked a ball away that just barely went out of bounds or was just barely recovered by the other team. Turn some of those into steals and his numbers could be absurd.
