Terrible draw. A total no-win situation for us. Losing to a team from that league would be embarassing, like it always is. Anything we do is gravy this year was all about reestablishing ourselves in the MAAC and we did that. Of course we want to win. AE team or not Stony Brook is a very talented team..I was very surprised UA beat them for the NCAA bid. How cool would it be to make a run in the CBI just to get more experience for the young players? The championship series is a best-of-3 series...that would be odd - like an NBA playoffs format.

I don't understand the complaints of a terrible draw...what does it matter who we play? How many of us thought six months ago that we'd even sniff a postseason game...and a home one at that?? Be excited and happy we have one!!! And like Jimmy said, it's the first step...the postseason experience will be great for our young team. Win one, and they'll get even more!!! Wish I could be there Tuesday night. Go Saints!!!

Of course it's good for our young team, but it's just for the NCAA to make money, plain and simple. Nothing else. And no, losing to a team from the 29th ranked conference, that couldn't beat a .500 team on it's home floor for a bid, has the potential to be a very bad loss. I just wish it was UB or someone not at all associated with our program.

I don't believe there is a team in this year's CBI that we would have not wanted on our regular OOC schedule. We had some NIT first round draws in the NIT that didn't ring any bells but we loved the games. Big oaks grow out of little acorns. BONUS - the bags are gone!!!!!!

These kids know that the intensity they bring to this game is critical, and more than just to win it. Check all the references to the fans. MPs proposal to 'trash the bags' finally has come to fruition with the reveal of the new seating configuration. Finally the tarps will be lifted and the entire lower bowl will be open. This game is a precursor to filling that lower bowl for every home game next year. If people will pay top dollars and bus in for miles to see 'Cuse play St. Mary's of the Blind, we can support our guys (players and coaches) to get their first tournament win on our home floor. Just MHO.

Or look at it as a "bracketbuster" game. In reality that is what it is, it is just that there are no brackets to be busted now. It is another game and that is a good thing. Go out and get the W and move on.

Losing to a team from the 29th ranked conference, at home, would change all the things I just said. IF we win great, but I just wish we drew someone outside of our "familiar zone" ya know? and yes we haven't beaten this power conference because we played the leagues best team, and the other opponent is our hated rival. not sure that's a fair measuring stick, especially in the PW era.

Win or lose . . . this game(s) will provide added incentive to work hard during the off-season to improve . . . I see no downside

We have to stop thinking of these games as an opportunity to lose and instead think of them as an opportunity to win.

Time to get off the high horse. 2-8 the last 4 years against the AE which is terrible. PW was 2-6 and we lost to UA/Vermont this year way back in November. This won't be an easy game but if we come out focused I like our chances for a win.
