Good stuff. Patsos said an earful. We have different guys step up all the time. The go to guy depends on the game. Mark my words that this will not change and that is a great thing. The best teams are deep and versatile. We will never be a one man band and that is how we will win championships.

Right now..Jimmy and Siena are saying all the right things! Which is nothing!
However..read the tea leaves people! Siena is building 20 MILLION dollar athletic facility upgrade - do u really think that's for the MAAC?! Not to mention ..in one of Jimmy's earliest interviews ( Espn Albany ) he stated that Siena asked him " would you feel intimidated about coaching in the A10?" He said " no".

Good interview. Not sure if I'm reading between the lines correctly but it doesn't sound like anything is even close on the A10 front and should the call come the financial commitment might not be there.

That's the feeling I got. I will be surprised if we see it happen. Seems like rhetoric toned WAY down

Don't think the money is the issue - the issue is we need the invite which may happen this spring or go into next year because of the position our program is in having to rebuild after the past three seasons. We may be at the mercy of the Big East and what they do in terms of expansion. As far as Jimmy playing it low-key for all we know Siena asked him to be very tight lipped on the A10 before anything comes down. He was really getting chatty about it when he got the job.

Women's team would also have to go to A-10. Needed a turnaround this year IMHO. LAX, BBALL, Volleyball and other programs would struggle a bit but be okay.

Yeah nothing in that interview that would make anyone feel a move to the A10 is happening anytime soon. All that is beyond our control anyway- enjoy were we are. Worst case scenario we have the MAAC tournament on our home floor the next 3 years- that’s a pretty nice spot to be in, in short cool it on the A10 talk th24

No openings in the A10. Nothing will happen until there's a spot open. If the Big East expands, then maybe (probably) but until then we are where we are.

The MAAC & and beefed up OOC games at TUC is very palatable for the next couple of years ... And if there becomes a need to remove a few more tarps the A10 will be knocking on our door

And if there becomes a need to remove a few more tarps the A10 will be knocking on our door Why can't we get Syracuse in here for a 2 for 1? If I'm Siena I'd even consider a 3 for 1 but Siena understandingly probably wants no part in a 3-1 series. SU came here Lanier's last year when we stunk and they were a couple of years removed from winning the national championship. It probably was for Craig Forth. The building would sell out and SU alums in Albany could see the Cuse at the TUC instead of having to travel out to Syracuse. Cmon, Boeheim grow some onions - what are you afraid of? Maybe Papi can arange it. I think if Siena is in the A10 Cuse might be more receptive to it possibly. I also remember Patsos saying Ed Cooley and Providence (maybe Boston College too?) might do a home and home down the road with Siena.

Why would Syracuse give us a 2 for 1 or 3 for 1 when they can give endless 100s for 0s to other schools around the state? To save paying a guarantee that they can make back through ticket sales alone?

Lol some of you act like A-10 is guaranteed. Even if they did come that doesn't guarantee that Siena would accept and it doesn't guarantee that Siena would be good in the A-10. Just because Siena would be playing up does not mean that they would automatically recruit up players.
But as I have said in other threads some people here have ridiculous expectations that Siena could join the A-10 and dominate in year 1. Didn't Fordham switch leagues and struggle. Lets get back to winning the MAAC before you all want to move to the A-10.
I see people on here disagree with Tony occasionally for some of his posts but he actually posts realistic things. Some of the posters on here act as if Siena is Kentucky and success is guaranteed.
Dont take this as an attack on the program. Jimmy has done an excellent job this year but to get back to dominating the MAAC he'll need 2-3 more high end MAAC talent players. This year was great. Hope we can have a few more games.
