Solid win for the team today...we could have come out flat locked into the #5 seed but we were ready to go and won by a big margin. Great game from Imoh, Brett and Evan. We got a lot of basketball from a lot of people including Steve Cruz early on.
First winning season in the MAAC since 2009-2010 Most wins (15) since 2009-2010 First four game winning streak since 2009-2010 10-4 home record
We were an inbounds pass away from a winning overall record with a pretty brutal OOC schedule with a very young team. Think about that and how bring that future is for these Siena Saints!
No matter if we play Canisius or Manhattan - all house money in Springfield. But let's play loose and make some NOISE!
Major props to Jimmy, the coaching staff and the kids - outstanding job!
GO SAINTS!!!!!

Business-like home win today, gotta love senior day when the team puts the game out of question and you get to really celebrate the graduating players.

Nice game today- a lot of fun to watch, Jimmy got a lot of basketball from a lot of guys, Hymes and Bisping were outstanding-- best player might have been Poole- he showed a lot of patience , Monmouth ran 2 or 3 players at him almost every time he touched the ball, Robbie never forced it-- nobody will be happier to see Cole join the team than Robbie.
Great game great year- first 4 game winning streak since Fran, first MAAC winning record since Fran, team defending the home court well all year. We have some outstanding freshmen, got a lot from our veterans-- Siena program trending upwards big time On to Springfield,!!

I hope we avoid Wally Rutecki in Springfield. He is the worst ref at this level that I've ever seen.

Secondly - I think I know what you mean and no disrespect intended, but that term 'house money' implies to me that we are not supposed to be where we are! See definition below. This team deserves every single win they have - it's been an up and down ride - in fact like you said above, we almost coulda/shoulda had more. They have played all season with everything they have and they will be playing with all that next week - and it's theirs - not the house's! ! www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=house+money

I thought Imoh played better than Bisping. He was an absolute force in the paint blocking 6 shots and changing a few others. 11 rebounds in 25 minutes, and only missed one shot (3-4, 1-1) He looked like one of the best big man in the league today!
Hymes was GREAT today. Only played 17 minutes and had 15 pts, 3 ass and 4 reb!! Made some beautiful passes (Poole on the run, and the drop off for Silas). One of the best games I've seen him play.

In fact with a few breaks we could have 18 or 19 wins right now. House money just means there is absolutely no pressure the rest of the season. I would love to see us at least get to the MAAC semifinals. It would be Siena's 13 semifinal appearance in 17 seasons which is outstanding. And one more win doubles last year win total which is pretty remarkable when you consider the difficulty in the schedule this year and graduating a first team all-MAAC player plus two other key contributors being forced to leave. Jimmy has done just as good a job (and maybe even a little better) than Hewitt and Fran did in their first seasons at Siena. Let's hope we go on a run in the following few seasons like those two great Siena coaches did!
