Siena final two games...@ Quinny, Monmouth
Marist final two games...@ Fairfield, Quinny
Rider final two games...Canisius, @ Iona
------------------------------------------------------
All that matters now you need to win the final two games.
Going to be tough at Quinny.

I think it's safe to say Siena has the easiest road of the three. Rider is pretty much effed and is looking at an 0-2 finish. Marist has the weakest team to play - but it's on the road where Marist has only won 3 times this season (they lost at Niagara, which is tied for last with Fairfield. If Siena loses a game, both of the others still have to go 2-0 to take 5th. But Siena can do it going 1-1 if the others lose a game too. Siena is the only one that controls its own destiny and can do it without help.

It's good to be in the conversation for 5th-- I wouldn't have cared if we were fighting for 6th or 7th. Also it helps that 10-10 or even 11-9 is still a possibility. Again, it is not a given that we lose to Quinny-- hopefully Patsos is sending that message right now.

I did the scenario in the other thread but I believe this is what it takes for Siena to get #5 seed:
(2-0) Locked into the 5th seed
(1-1) Gets 5th seed as long as Rider goes 1-1. If Rider goes 0-2 then Siena needs either a Marist loss OR for Manhattan to finish in second place
(0-2) Don't want to think about this but Siena can still get the 5th seed at 0-2 if Rider goes 0-2 AND Marist goes 1-1
Anyone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

I too agree that Siena appears to have the slightly better schedule of the three teams. My only concern is what will Iona & Quinny do that final game? Let's say Quinny beats Siena Thursday (I hope they don 't but let's say they do). Then their last game could be meaningless and they could rest their starters, loose & it won't affect their final standings.
Same could be said for Iona. They could rest their players, loose and no impact on their final seeding. It's happened in the past the #1 seed loosing that last game.
Fairfield should play tough at home but it's still a winnable game for Marist coupled that with the other team resting players & loosing & Marist could end up wining both. Then by beating Quinny could have the better tie breaker.
Let's just go out and control our own destiny and win both; go into tourney on a winning streak & get hot in March.
Go Saints!!!

Upsets can happen but I doubt those teams will rest anybody - not like in football. You have to stay sharp for the tournament. And for a better RPI should you win the tournament. Iona's final game is on senior day they'll be ready plus they are on an 11 game winning streak. We also you should root for Manhattan to finish as high as possible. They play both Iona and Canisius at home to close out the season.
We have to come ready to play every game...Quinnipiac on the road isn't an automatic loss and Monmouth at home isn't an automatic win. Keep grinding it out.

Marist has FF on the road, they have beaten two lesser teams on the road recently in Rider and Monmouth. Marist has the easiest schedule and Siena almost HAS to win at Quinny if you are honest with yourself.

This is what I can't do. Game by game people - let it play out. Sorry.

We had them beat at the TUC, besides it's a grudge/revenge game after the spat at the end. We'll be looking for payback.

I will agree it is over if Siena beats Quinny. Rider is not winning both games and then Marist can't catch Siena.

Siena controls it's own destiny. Win both and we get a bye. Rider & Marist need to win both & hope Siena doesn't. I'll take our chances over Rider's or Marist's.

BUT, I have to look at odds. Quinny barely beat Marist at home. Now they have to come to McCann. Quinny beat Siena AT Siena and now Siena has to go there. IF you look at past results, it favors us IMO.
