quick question Saintsfan does JW's father have compromising pictures of you or your family? C'mon cough it up.. you were wrong..kid needs some work-- it wont hurt to admit it-- repeat after me.. kid has another year to develop he currently is not good enough for Siena- maybe we can revisit next year if Siena has an available ride-- I've said he had things to improve idiot. You're the one saying he's going to lemoyne or st rose. So that is on record

you see ... you clowns simply cant help yourself. Ive defended Wincowski in the face of you fools claiming he isnt D1. I believe he will wind up MAAC or higher. He will DEFINITELY go D1. You folks on the other hand have him at Lemoyne or St Rose. And that isnt embellishing one bit. Youre both now on record as Wincowski is D2. Im on record he is 100% D1. ZERO chance he winds up at the D2 level.

I find it really disgusting how some folks can put the kid down (or any kid for that matter who is still growing and in HS), whether he eventually plays at Siena or D1 or some other level, makes no difference............the kid is going to be playing college basketball, somewhere............there is NO shame in that, not everyone has that opportunity, and as mentioned those that play at D2 or D3 are still very very good..................funny how posters out here can make statements that they could score points in a certain high school league now or even school the player(s) on the court themselves, really???, not sure many of those with that bravado could even get up and down the court let alone tie their shoes...............if you want to relive your past that's fine but do it with your drinking buddies, not on a forum like this!!!!!!!!!!

(and I live in the Adirondacks)

I watched the entire game.. I dont want to put the kid down and I understand he is just a jr but I have seen much better Jr's that dont have any DI interest in A B and C level competition in bmore. He is getting alot of shine averaging 30 pts per game but his skills are not there. Probably a nice kid and I hope he gets his scholarship and has a college career. I am convinced that he is not better than anyone we have.. do you think White or Oliver will allow this kid to take mins from them? We all know the answer to that.

I don’t know how accurate the stats from Maxpreps are, but here is what I found.
Joel Wincowski stats :
Year
| PTS | 3PM | 3PA | % | FTM | FTA | % | 2FGM | 2FGA | % | REB | AST | STL | BLK | TO | Junior
| 604 | 55 | 187 | 29% | 87 | 141 | 62% | 176 | 337 | 52% | 189 | 90 | 118 | 26 | 32 | Sophomore | 682 | 60 | 168 | 36% | 108 | 156 | 69% | 197 | 339 | 58% | | | | | | Freshman
| 319 | 27 | 71 | 38% | 56 | 78 | 72% | 91 | 179 | 51% | | | | | |
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
I would imagine that stats play a part in the process of evaluating players. I know it doesn't tell everything, but it does tell a lot.
A strange thing about Joel stats, his percentages are going down even his FT's.

He has taken more shots every year...and less FTs from sophmore to jr year... looks odd

Jimmer is making 50% of ths 3's in the NBA, and this kid is only making 29% of his in Class "D?"

Anyone remember Kevin Yanni? I covered that kid in every summer game at the Watervliet Armory and more, I was at Averill Park then, we were still Class B and Colonial Conference until my senior year when we jumped to A. Yanni was easy to shut down if you had a full set of chromosomes. But after league play ended and we beat them then this magical Yanni went on to win class CC sectionals every year cause he got to face Wincowski competition. He went on to play D3 at Hamilton.
I defended Lionel Chalmers (I broke his leg in football, oops, which set Bishop Gibbons into a horrible losing streak), Jason Jeanpierre, Willie Deane, Grasso at Colonie, James Thomas, both Bishop brothers at Shaker (Jeff and Jeremy?}, and a few I am forgetting and they were all light years ahead of Yanni. That being said, Yanni would dribble circles around this Wincowski kid.

What I can't believe is that there is an 8 page thread on this kid. Somebody must be getting kickback to pump up his publicity profile. I would have thought we could quell that a bit before it got out of hand.
