Gotta love MP he covered for the PW for 2 1/2 years (before turning on him when it was over) but isn't afraid to throw Jimmy under the bus with the shitty situation he inherited from his "friend" the Wrecker. MP I love you man just busting on you

I hope that Marquis can spend some time in the off-season improving his shot. It seems so flat looks like it needs some arc. Even being respectable would allow the offense some leeway as players seem to sag off of him now.
I know that there is a debate about needing a backup PG for next season and I would say watching the games that seems to be necessary. Getting scoring from Pat Cole, Paige, Long, Poole, and hopefully an improved Maurice White on the wings will be a nice change from not having anyone who can really make a move off the dribble.

This thread is funny. The team is picked 10th for good reason, exceeds those expectations by far...and people are still not happy. I guess they expected to win 20 this season. SMH.

I hate losing probably as much or more than everyone else but sometimes you just have to step back and look at it objectively. If we were getting run out of the gym by 20 points night in and night out and had a 5-20 record then I could understand the angst. Are there questions about Jimmy Patsos? Yes. Is he a perfect coach? Nobody is. But the fact is he took over an 8 win team who graduated their best player last year. It is par for the course though. I remember back 8 years ago people bitched about Fran during his first year when he won 15 games. Siena fans are tough..smart fans but tough and that's good to hold people accountable. But you have to be realistic too and this is coming from a passionate over the top fanatic! It's been a long four years...we are 46-75 (.380) since the three-peat (which we went 77-26 and won two NCAA games). That is hard to swallow when you consider Siena's proud tradition as a solid mid-major program. I get people are getting antsy. But the drought is soon to be over and the rebuilding is almost done.

I don't have the same warm and fuzzy feeling I had when Fran was here year one. I think it is because the mistakes that are made I see as being fixable by the coaches moreso this year. Jimmy comes in with a reputation as a recruiter, so if he does that we should still have good runs. It is nice going into every game with a chance to win for a change, especially at home.

Jimmy comes in with a reputation as a recruiter, so if he does that we should still have good runs. It is nice going into every game with a chance to win for a change, especially at home. Fran changed things here. Remember when he came here in 2005 the program had only been to three NCAA tournaments - he doubled that. The program had only one Round of 32 appearance he tripled that. The bar has no doubt been raised. Fran had a 15-13, 10-8 year his first season. We got bounced by St. Peter's on our home floor in the MAAC tournament. We had only one win (at Iona) against the top of the MAAC. The non-league schedule was very average only a game at Syracuse could be considered a very tough game. If you count the RPI the MAAC is 17 this year but was slightly better that year at 14. Siena had a first team player that year in Jordan and a third team player in Mensah. This year there is no first team player but Poole should make the third team. Hasbrouck was the ROY and Wright could challenge for ROY this year. I'm not saying Jimmy will produce what Fran did in his next four years but I am excited about the possibilities.

[quote author=" MTS" . Your 1,300+ posts and always one of the 1st callers on the post game call in show(speaks volumes your not in attendance at the games) clearly make you a band wagon jumper on fan.

GG, First off send your thank you card to the NCAA rules committee( A joke of an organization) for allowing Billy Boy to transfer twice without having to sit out. Secondly, there's a saying, "If you don't pay attention to history you're doomed to repeat it." Siena with a core of freshmen defeated Marist led by Jared Jordan and Will Whittington, league regular season champion '06-'07, in the semi-final after Marist had a big halftime lead and went to the locker room laughing like hyenas. I'm serving notice after CC's narrow win Sunday they won't want to meet Siena in Springfield.

[/quote] Your definition of a fan is a bit one sided. There are quite a few diehard Saints fans that aren't season ticket holders for several reasons, work commitments being one. I've been a Siena fan going on 20 years and my schedule just allowed us to become season ticket holders. Leaving the games and living relatively close by someone could certainly make it home or call from their mobile phone to share an opinion on the call in show. Band wagon jumper on fans as you call them wouldn't be found around the last 3 years for any reason whatsoever. You'll see more and more around when the program gains momentum, for now we should all be glad for the MTS' of the world, who although vocal are always around to evaluate, discuss and promote the program.

If Marquis can improve his shot- he will be best( or one of best guards) in MAAC next year. At any rate if we are going to be successful he has to improve his foul shooting( currently 61%) and 3 point shoot 17%-- if he can get that 70%+ and over 30% from 3 it will keep defenses honest. Hopefully staff breaks down his shooting in off season and rebuilds his form, you're right he does have a flat "push" shot As for another guard- absolutely no doubt we need one, Evan is so far in the dog house as back up point guard I see no way he can fill that role next year

MP I love you man just busting on you Ok, I am going to try to be nice here.....MP is a hell of a lot closer to this program than you or many others here. Have you ever heard the phrase fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me? Just because we were all hoodwinked into thinking that things would get better for the last three years while the rest of the MAAC zoomed by our beloved program in the EZ PASS lane doesn't mean that is going to happen twice. Just saying, you need to put yourself in a position to be a lot more involved before you even attempt to make a comment like this to someone who I know for a fact is very close to the program.
