He is an exciting player and tough. Yes, some aspects of his game needs work. With a little catch up he could make it the "big three" instead of the "big two" in this class. I am just as excited at the prospects of his game as I am with Long and Wright.

I'm just happy my son go to school 4 Free. And a good school at that. I think just about all of us are excited about Maurice, I know I am. But if you are on this board you are going to hear the good and the bad. Some people are ruthless and I don't like it especially when you see those kids faces when they lose. They feel 100 times worse than we do. Imagine if Evans father was on this board. Talk about a kid getting abused!

I don't know how anyone else feels- but Oliver preformed well in the last 5 or 6 games! Hopefully it something be can build on?!
Oliver- White- Poole- Cole I tend to tend to like that combo next year at the SF /SG positions!

Oliver- White- Poole- Cole I tend to tend to like that combo next year at the SF /SG positions! Way to early to guess but I think next year's starters will be Wright, Cole, Poole, Long and either JO or Wolfe. This of course is subject to change. Our biggest question mark is up front. I think Cole will provide a huge scoring need at SG. He will take some pressure off Poole and open it up for other guys inside. I'm not hyping Pat as the "savior" but a 6'5 guy who can shoot will be a very good addition. White should be a 6th man type of player next year along with Jimmy Paige.

I am very proud of Ryan Oliver, always knew he had it in him. I think each brings something different to the table in the SF/SGs you have listed and that something different is a good thing. It means that there are four options at the position so if anyone is 'off', sick, not in the building, etc, etc, JP can just keep on going down the line! This off season it is critical for them to continue to grow together to be able to anticipate responses to change ups in the plays. That was one of the greatest things about the big three teams, they innately knew where each other would be on the court. We have seen glimpses of that (Brett on the baseline alley-oop, Wolfe same) but I think more will come with increased time together.

If Wolfe can get stronger for next and work on a few post moves, he could be great as a starter next year. Now I'm probably going to get a lot of crap for this, but I can see Wolfe playing anywhere from the 3 to the 5. I'm not saying he is going to get a lot of minutes at the 3 but he has the skill set for that and him being 6'9" could be a huge advantage in this league at times. But him playing the 5 next year would be great because he can score from beyond the arc, he can clearly get up in the air and finish above the rim, and he is fast and can help us become even more up tempo and get us in transition and be better in transition more often. But the fact that he can play anywhere from the 3 to the 5, with his skill set, is a big advantage in my opinion. Hopefully he can make a big sophmore jump next year, and start getting to where he potentially can next year.

I totally agree about the longer they play together the better more comfortable they 'll be (& the wins will follow). I've said it all year we're not only young, but all but two players are inexperienced. Last year we were in top 10 in country as youngest team, this yr we got younger. We're playing well and have room for improvement. I just wish others wouldn't loose faith or find the need to place blame. I just don't see how it helps the team . Only make those people feel better for a very short time (venting). Go Saints! Time to get ready for Canisius. Niagara gave them a tough game maybe we can do the same with the home crowd advantage.

I think the main purpose it serves is rationalization and it helps keep fan interest in the team alive. If there was no discussion there would be no interest-- fan support declines, revenues decline and we become St. Peter's. Ironically sometimes fighting the need to "place blame" on here only serves to keep the discussion going and the cycle continues--- until the next game. Don't get me wrong each of us has his or her own tipping point-- mine is the MAAC Board as I find that one brutal and haven't even laid eyes on it in about 5-10 years.
