Everyone is crying about having one more timeout or one more pass ?! Again .. it never should have come down to that ! This team is young - and it's clear they need cole and few more talented kids.
i think of Siena had cole -one could argue that Siena would be in the top 4 in in MAAC -and looking at 17 wins at seasons end!
I pray Jo and Oliver stay - Siena needs everyone and anyone that can score! Especially if they are going to contend for the MAAC next year!

First game I've been able to watch in awhile, thought I'd share some random observations... - This team is simply not that talented. Best, and most complete player is Wright, who has plenty of room to improve (FT Shooting, outside shot in general). Let's face in, PW left the cupboard pretty bare. Not saying Jimmy is perfect, but not even Coach K would be able to guide this roster to much better than a .500 record. I'm not sure what fellow Saints fans were expecting this year, but some of the criticism I've been reading on here just doesn't seem warranted. - The issue with the fouling seems like a combination of the new rules, Frosh playing a high # of minutes, style of play, and overall lack of talent. Frustrating for sure, but I firmly believe that in time, this issue will get resolved. Hopefully as soon as the beginning of next season. - I believe Jimmy is doing a great job this season laying the groundwork for future success. There are some pieces in place...but to win like we all want, more pieces are needed. PW did an astonishingly fantastic job of burning the program to the ground. Just try to remember that when watching this team. - If there are any departures from the team, I hope they don't include any of the freshmen. Specifically talking about JO. From the few times I've seen him play, I am impressed. I think there is a lot of potential there. If he works hard, I see no reason why he can't be a key piece of future success. - Definitely need a backup PG. - Can't wait to see Cole play next year - Excited to see how much the freshmen can improve this offseason. - Very intrigued by Wolfe...think he could be a great player the next 3 years. Kind of wish he'd get more PT this season. - Despite some recent heartbreaking losses, I am thoroughly enjoying this team for the first time in 4 years. You are blind if you can't see that Jimmy has us going in the right direction. I still love my Zaints!!! On target Mike. Good insight into the program's status.

Silas is the tallest player I've seen that can't dunk- someone needs to teach him how to finish under the basket- he's got ups so he should be able to jam a few home when right under the hoop... He missed several easy one's Silas is not the only Siena big that can't seem to finish point blank in the low box. They all need to show a lot more aggression and the ability to finish with emphasis.

OD did the same thing but he was strong enough to compensate for the 6 other hands on the ball. Straight up with the ball doesn't apply here.. Frustrating to watch.

I am sorry, but all of you who keep referring to Mitch as PW are not being fair to the man. He was part of the best stretch in Siena basketball as the lead assistant. He deserves more respect than given. Was he a good HC? No. But program wrecker when he was the lead assistant under that mini-MAAC dynasty. Horribly disrespectful IMO.

I didn't say it. I don't like it either. You know who will suffice.

One bad shot and never play again? I guess Poole shouldn't play either as his fall away three pointer air ball looked even worse on my computer. We could have used whites ability to get to the rim yesterday --- i think he is the most underutilized player on the team. I said this on the MAAC board yesterday. You can see he could be a rebounding demon from the 3 position. He could be a very poor man Faried type on this level. Utilize him right, and he will get his offense off transition and putbacks.

You must don't like white. I see a lot of kids make bad shots.Jimmy never take them out allow them to play through the mistakes. On the play in question they were obviously looking to get the ball elsewhere. The D parted like the red sea and white was a little surprised. When he realized it.... he took off but the second delay allowed a defender to rotate in and white was forced into an awkward pull up. That was all lack of comfort level ... and remember a lot whites time is coming as a defensive specialist. He certainly wasnt looking for his shot on that play. Freshman will do that. Well then Patsos reaction was horrific. He immediately took the timeout arms flailing and pointed at White to yank him after that shot. Are we sure it wasn't tipped? I thought a Marist player got his hand on it. Either way, Patsos called him out in a very public way with that TO/demonstrative yank.
