No question it is a HUGE jump up for us but the A10 would not extend an invite unless they know how committed Siena is. I think Siena has been positioning itself for the move to the A10 for a while now. In a perfect world we get the invite in the spring but don't enter until the following year which would be July 1, 2015 (Begin play for the 2015-16 season)
St. Louis, of course, is likely gone by the time Siena enters but this is still a top 8-10 league in the country.

Laughable that some people thought the a10 wasn't a big jump -- the bigger question has always been whether Siena was willing to make the commitment to compete-- in doubt right now but I am trying to keep the faith.

Can we go in for only some sports? I thought I heard that's possible (UAlbany did it for football only (CAA)). I know D'Arg/Siena wanted to position itself for multiple sports to be able to compete at the higher level. Maybe they'd (D'Arg/Fr Kevin) would be willing to accept even if the other sports weren't ready - if the opportunity comes along. I've always like the idea of moving up ever since Hewitt & even more so with Fran's teams.

Anyone else suppress with GM? I would have thought they'd be in the top half closer to VCU.

I get you're not a Jimmy fan but the commitment is there... 20 million dollar practice facility.
