More Plays for Lavon The one play they keep running for Lavon is to have Lavon post his player up in the lower block. Which he does great.
The one play I would wish they run for Lavon is the same one they run for Poole.
Lavon would post up on the left side of the lane as if he was posting his man up, but then turn right off a screen on the baseline and pop out at the elbow, like Poole does. But not as far out as Poole, on the right-hand side of the hoop for a nice turnaround jump shot. Being left handed, when he receives the ball it’s one motion, square up an let it fly. We can’t rely on Poole for every play. Lavon has a nice jump shot, he gets up in the air, he shoots from over his head and would be very hard to stop. And if he uses the glass, it would make it a lot easier.

I would also like to see White with the ball more.

I am sure it will happen. They need to make the jump a little more solidly. It's coming. I would have like to have seen Ryan in a little earlier in the second half when we were struggling getting over the hump to take the lead, but Evan was shooting well and Rob was coming around so I can see why the staff went the way they did for so long. It also allowed Mo to finally get into a little rhythm which I think he really needed.
It was another nail biter, but I think this one may have taught them a big lesson in how to win down the stretch against evenly matched (as I see it) teams. Now on to climbing some bigger hills.

Personally I am getting even more sick of forcing the offense through Poole than I was with forcing it through Anosike. Let some new guys make some plays, especially on the nights that Poole is off. I'd rather see Oliver chucking up 3's than Poole.

Last night my son, who hasn't seen a game with me this year, said," dad, why aren't they running more plays for some of these other guys, besides Poole?" I thought it was interesting that a fan that has seen less than a half of one game would ask the same question as the one here. I'm curious as to why. I'm hoping the answer is something like the fact that the team is so young, and there just hasn't been enough practice time to implement more set plays for younger and/or different players. I would think next fall much more would be put in for other individuals.

It seems like we're beginning to see more diversity in the offense. Ryan is moving with more urgency and looking for his shot now...and now we're running plays for him similiar to Poole. We run plays for Hymes. We're occasionally running plays for Long & Silas. Rarely Brett.
I'd like to see us comfortable enough in the flex to identify the mismatch and quickly attack it with whichever guy has the advantage. Frankly, most teams do that to us. It'd be nice to return the favor.
