Not scared of that game at all. Just saying that if we win those 2 road games and Monmouth at home, we're playing with house money vs the top 4.
That said, I actually like the Quinny matchup the best out of the other 3 games. Quick, decent shooting perimeter guys are our achilles heel.

Going by RPI Forecast:
We'll be +1 at Marist, +2 against Canisius, +5 against Manhattan, +3 at Rider, +8 at Quinnipiac, -6 vs Monmouth

Interesting...looks like my Quinny gut call goes against the statistical analysis. Being an analytical guy...I now need to curl up in the fetal position in a corner.

Why is everyone so scared of Canisius at home? That is a very winnable game. I agree "winnable" but we'd have to "compete" for close to 40 mins. Unfortunately , we haven 't done that very often this yr. Not only are we a very young team but very inexperienced. Only two returning starters. All others are new or didn't play significant mins last yr. We're coming along but it'll be another yr or two where we can play crappy for 30 mins and pour it on for 10 & win like Fran's last two yrs.

Why is everyone so scared of Canisius at home? That is a very winnable game. Rethinking what I posted earlier (i.e., needing to play hard for 40 mins) we actually battled back to within 10 at Canisius with something like 3-5 mins left, but then collapsed. If we played crappy for most if the game only to battle back to within 10 after being down by like 20 or something, we could beat them in Albany. I'm sure they won't shoot 75% from 3 like they did in the 1st half in a Buffalo on Sunday. If it wasn't for those 15 or so 3s we would have been in a better position at the end of that game. We simply played uninspired that game.

You made me re-think how I feel about this game (our chances of winning). Now I just need you or others to convince me we'll win Friday night in Po-town. With Kemp back along with I doubt Bowie will have another bad game against us I'm nervous that we may not win. If we come out and compete for 35-40 mins I like our chances. If we come out like St Peter's game I'm not so sure.

No gimme games coming up but no unwinable games either. Siena has shown the ability to play with anyone at home. I believe they beat Iona at home if Wright doesn't foul out and had the Q dead to rights.
Marist is a huge game. Win that and 6th is theirs with a shot at 5. Lose and they are looking at 7th place. They are really going to look back at the losses to St Peters, Monmouth and Quinipiac as killers at the end of the season.

They are are winnable... however beating Canisius is not likely.. quite frankly they are better than us. We have two wins over teams with winning records-- and many games we could say if this broke or that broke we could have beaten ( fill in the blanks Iona- Quinny etc) fact is bad teams dont win those type games. Can we beat Canisius, Manhattan or Quinny on road?? -- yes we can- they are not Duke,.. but if we do beat them it will be nothing more than an upset. Reality check we are a losing team with a record of 11-14-- those type teams seldom beat good teams.. this year always was a rebuilding year- next year Jimmy gets no pass-I'll be pleased if we can finish season 10-10 in conference and for that to happen we are going to have to pull an upset or two
