Fairfield looks like they could win the Maac tourney tonight. Funny how everyone looks great against us.

Season saving win...could not let this one get away. Give the kids credit for battling back from 16 early on and finally get over the hump to win. Bisping saved our bacon...no he's not a good defender but he's a smart kid and makes some tough plays. White made some nice plays (and needs more playing time) (for JamalBlack) and Long's pass to set up Brett was huge. Good to see Evan get it going too. We need Rob Poole to bounce back...he's too good of a player to be in this big of a slump though he did start to break out of it late in the second half.
Good win... on to Marist who almost won at Quinnipiac...but Siena usually has a good following at the McCann center. One game out of 5th but only game from 7th too. Saints can't come out flat against the better teams or we will lose badly. 2-2 in our last 4 but the 2 wins over Niagara and Fairfield at home were games we almost let get away.

Yes, it was a must win game for sure. I couldn't believe JP in the presser saying he was ok with 1 out of 2 from the line. I don't get that mentality. I agree with White playing more. He had a good game, played very well. He is a really strong and quick kid. I am very excited about his potential. Lavon looked quick tonight at well.

Jimmy says some crazy things at the postgame press conferences...I think he's trying to take the pressure off the team. But yeah 1/2 not OK at the line 3/4 is what each player should shoot for (PG 4/5). Our frosh are growing up...don't want to wish this season away but I can't wait to see them as sophomores with a full off season and a season of a ton of experience under their belts. Every win we get this year is so important for the future..we need to learn how to win so while it was ugly tonight against a bad team we are learning to find a WAY to WIN the game. We did a much better job tonight not committing the stupid fouls..hopefully that continues.

Jimmy put himself in the hot seat tonight, sitting for most of the first half and some of the second. He platooned the entire starting lineup early in the game, which sent as loud a message as screaming would have. Lavon Long had zero fouls! Wright, though, was still in foul trouble. White had a great game, showing the kind of aggressiveness and helpfulness that doesn't necessarily get reflected in the stats lines... that's something I've seen a lot of from Lavon Long, and it's clear that both of these guys are the kind of athletic wings that Jimmy likes to recruit. It wasn't a pretty game, but it's important that the team knows how to end the close games on top.

I have to say that White made a very impressive catch and lay in on that break. He could have easily dropped that

A lot of really good efforts from a lot of guys after we got down big. Didn't think we were going to get over that hump - every time we tied that came back with some form of 3. Great job by everybody hanging in there.

It was very clear that Siena was trying to keep the fouls down, almost to a fault in the first 13 min. From the last 7 min in the 1st half and through the second I though Siena played better D. Still gave up 75 pts to team that avgs 61. So there is still work to be done but it's a step in the right direction,

i am a huge white fan but jimmy managed his playing time tonight perfectly. he simply cannot play a lot more minutes until he can knock down the 15ft jumper. if he works really hard this off season and develops even a decent jumper he'll lock down the 2 spot for the next 3 years. he's an exceptional slasher, rebounder and off the bounce.
