At this point in the season, four teams have risen to the top of the MAAC: Canisius, Iona, Manhattan, and Quinnipiac.
Interesting to see how many games are remaining in each team's schedule vs. the "Big Four":
Canisius - 4 games Iona - 2 games Manhattan - 3 games Quinnipiac - 1 game Rider - 5 games Siena - 3 games Marist - 3 games Monmouth - 2 games St. Peters - 2 games Niagara - 4 games Fairfield - 2 games
Based solely on this "strength of schedule", it is possible that Quinnipiac could move securely up into the two or three seed, that Rider could hit a wall and fall into the middle of the pack, and that the door of opportunity is there for Siena to grab the fifth seed and avoid a play-in game.

The only game that matters now is St. Peter's.

The only game that matters now is St. Peter's. Thanks for that one ... Nonetheless, Siena has a real shot at avoiding the first Thursday in March with a 5-3 close.

But right now just need to beat St. Peter's...on the road can be an adventure for a young team but if we can avoid the stupid fouls and get to the magic 65 point total I think we've got a good chance to win tonight. Time to start a new winning streak! Let's go Saints!!

After we win the MAAC Tournament, who will we be projected to play in the NCAA PIG game in Dayton?

Since the December break Siena has a winning record of 7-5. 8-4 was in their grasp (coulda,shoulda,woulda... but not!) with 1 more point scored or prevented againt one of the top 4 in the league (admittedly, at home) but the point is this team could be "rounding into form" as they say aboput young KY Derby hopefuls who are still learning how to race. They are good enough to "steal one", maybe two. However it turns out, it has been worlds more fun watching them this year (and yes, frustrating too).

Time to stop sipping the koolaid. Siena will beat Fairfield and maybe Monmouth and that's it. No chance against the rest including Rider and Marist. As far as recruiting goes, Siena's next recruit needs to be someone better than anyone on the team now (except Wright), someone who can take over a game, no more role players. Without a stud, Siena will be better next year but not all that much better. No stud, our best hope next year will be for a weak league.

Agree on the recruiting - we need a major talent upgrade at several positions - I know that upsets several of you guys and that's one of the reasons why Jimmy has to walk around on eggshells when it comes to upgrading the talent - hope we get at least 1 preferably two studs.. but no more role player signings
