Quinnipiac has not passed my eye test. They are a regular MAAC team, nothing special. At home, we should win. I like your attitude! Go Saints!

We are not playing Memphis tomorrow, it is frickin Quinnipiac... Obviously, Siena can not come out the same way they did vs Niagara, regardless tomorrow is the biggest home game in 3.5 years, let's embrace it.

Quick question? Why should we win? Because our name is Siena? Is it because of our 3 straight losing seasons? Or maybe it’s all our talent—lets count up all the ALL MAAC honors of players currently on team—oh that’s right we have none? Oh OK you want to look at this year—Ok we have Poole a 3rd team ALL MAAC player maybe 2nd team.. Wright will make ALL Rookie team ( Marist’s Hart will be ROY) ( maybe Long makes all Rookie team) and yeah thats it..Ike will be 1st team ALL MAAC Drame 2nd team—Heart 3rd team.. Kasim Chandler will make rookie team—maybe it’s who they have played – oh that’s right they Bitch slapped Iona at Home and swept Manhattan – while I agree they are not Memphis – make no mistake about it- they are more talented than us. Sorry if that upsets you but it’s the truth. It’s a game Saints can win, but if we don’t play well ( maybe our best game of the year) we will lose. Of the two new additions Quinny wasn’t bad- they invest in their program. Until we "rebuild" the program we shouldn't "expect" to beat anyone this team isn't good enough..but that's just my opinion. I'm enjoying this year immensely and have zero expectations

Tony. I agree that Siena must have their A game at both ends for two halves tonight to have a chance...
Not saying its impossible, but certainly will be a tall order for our Saints :
Quinny has beaten Manhattan twice and Iona once ( we lost all three of our games to them ) .
Quinny has Azotam and Drame in the front court who are beasts on the boards and good shot blockers when we try to drive and Hearst and Shannon in the backcourt Siena must play with lots of energy on defense whether its man or zone; they can't afford to take any possessions off ...no easy baskets for Quinny
Must block out for rebounds and have good ball movement and each man must move around the court quickly to score the ball off the flex
As Jimmy said after the Niagara game "Siena's not back, yet. We're on our way back. We're climbing the hill."
Go Saints

We need the obvious - the best game of the season right out of the box (pretend you are coming out of the locker room at the half, two times) - make shots, rebound like we have been doing all year, make Q shoot from outside, get the 50/50 balls (they have 6 days to heal the floor burns that won't start being annoying until tomorrow) and show Evan a picture with him standing next to Q's bigs and remind him - On driving into Q's paint "You can't do that!!!"
One last MUST - don't stagnate on O with the guards passing the ball around the high perimeter and pausing at each catch while studying the positions of the guys inside looking first one way then another as if you are at a bowling alley waiting for a pin to be reset. Sharp passing with no "announcements" as to where you want to throw it. If option A isn't open go IMMEDIATELY to option B.

This game is HUGE ... if Siena can pull it out we have a realistic chance at finishing 4th. We can win this game but it is going to take our best effort of the season! The next step is beating a top team in the MAAC - Iona, Manhattan, Canisius and Quinnipiac - right now we are 0-4 with 4 more to go and 3 of those games at the TUC. Quinnipiac is a really good team beat Manhattan twice and Iona already. They lost a tough game at home tonight against Canisius. Izotam and Drame are monsters inside both averaging double-doubles. Zaid Hearst and Umar Shannon form a very good backcourt. Also have a solid frosh Kasim Chandler and senior Shaq Shannon who comes off the bench. Saints are looking for their first four game winning streak since the 2009-2010 season - the third straight MAAC championship winning team. I think Long has a Monster Night against Q's bigs which will be one of the positives to a Big Win. Go Saints. Section 121

Mark Singelais@marksingelais Quinnipiac coach Tom Moore indicated 6-9 Jr. F Ousmane Drame will come off bench again vs. Siena. 2nd game back following knee injury.

Take Quinnipiac lightly and you go home with a double digit loss. No question they are a legit top 4 team. I have seen them against Iona, Manhattan and Canisius. The key to them is Umar Shannon. 5th yr sr who is a solid player but sometimes his shooting is inconsistent, but if he comes out and is on one of his good shooting nights they are really tough. They lost to the Griffs but the Griffs had them by 20 because Qpac could not hit a shot to start the game, but they got hot and made it a game until they just ran out of gas. Would be very good win tonight. The only thing that would disappoint me is if the game is not close. If the Saints come out with the intensity to start they can stay in the game and win the game. the typical slow start needs to be avoided tonight.

I'm not saying take them lightly but that was one game. We are one game behind them and have played just as hard a schedule and it is at home. We are favored. Time to start believing.

I think Wolfe needs to just head to the basket whenever a perimeter shot goes up. I am starting to believe he can catch and dunk anything orange that is in the general vicinity of the rim~ Totally agree!!!

This should help a bit depending how close to 100% Drame is..on other hand it shouldn't matter Drame and Ike were recruited to NEC- Brett should clearly dominate them ;)All kidding aside we are going to need a good game from not only Brett but all our bigs Silas- JO- Wolfe-Long

Siena is hoping for 7k tonight. anyone know how many tickets have been sold so far? Might be a tough night to get 7k with a Duke vs Syracuse matchup and big purple growl at UALBANY. Hope we can get 6200 at least.

Hope we can get 6200 at least. I don't think we lose many to the UA game. The casual fan may watch SU/Duke. No excuse for a Siena fan.
