From NY Insiders on Jamil Hood:
Albany, NY. The Eagles, a charter school that began in 2010, went from nowhere to Class AA in three years.
Jamil Hood Eagles starting point guard 6-2 185lb Jamil Hood is now receiving interest for his athletic play.
This Class of 2014 guard began his varsity playing career at Albany Academy 2011-12 season then later transfer to join the Eagles. "This is his third year playing varsity he can play the 1 and 2. He's aggressive going to the basket," said Green Tech's Coach Jamil Hood Sr.
By the end of the season Hood would shine as the Eagles halted four-time defending Christian Brothers Academy in the Section II Class AA semifinal game at Times Union Center. Hood led for his team in this match-up finishing with 31 points. "He can play bigger players. He's great on the defensive end and can handle the ball," said Coach Hood Sr.
The small charter school proved to be a force as they enter the Section II Finals to face Troy HS. However, this time the Eagles journey would end in a 15 point loss with the young guard finishing with 19 points.
The junior currently list, "Quinnipiac, North Eastern, Boston University and LaSalle, Siena and UAlbany are his interest, said Hood Sr. "Temple reached out to me too," said the Eagles coach. Hood averages 19.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 6.0 assist, and 4.6 steals per game.
This summer you catch this junior games on the road with his AAU City Rocks team.

John Crosby (Team Melo) is so tough to slow down off the bounce. Iona, Mason, Siena, Penn, Towson, St. Joe's, others watching.

DMVElite destined Crosby as a 6'3 PG from Baltimore Poly and rates him 13th in the Class of 2014. Have heard there is a 6'6 wing and a 6'9 player from the DC-Bmore area that thevstaff is looking at. Also heard that 6'7 PF Kevin Degnan, who visited unofficially last year, may be of some interest as well. Have to believe either that a scholarship is saved for 2014 or if 6'9 Michael Wolfe of Georgetown Prep visis as PPC suggests, that he may redshirt to bulk up. I think Jimmy really wants Maurice White so assuming he is qualified, he will be here as well.

Moseh is a 6'3 SG who is rated 35th in the class of 2014 in the initial ranking by DMVElite.

Calixte is the top-rated junior in Maine per NERR. He reclassified to 2014 when he moved from Stoughton, MA high (was first team All-State as a junior there) to Lee Academy.
With Wright on board and Hymes back, it's surprising that a PG would be a focus in the class of 2014. Perhaps this is old news from Alex Kline.

Based on Calixte's twitter feed he was offered this weekend, I think his team was at the Philly Jam Fest.
I don't know exactly when Coach Patsos was notified by Evan that he was staying, but it looks like it could be a timing type issue where we were evaluating 2014 PGs with the uncertainty surround Evan's return.
Now that Evan is returning I would agree that we won't be involved with Calixte or any other PGs in 2014.

Wright looks like he'll be great for the next four years but Hymes, being 5-7ish and slightly built is still a question mark in my mind. Depending on him being physically able to back Wright up for 2 years is a gamble in my opinion. Also, it looks like Calixte can put some points on the board from outside the arc...

It's refreshing watching a true point guard get his teammates involved.
