Props to Brett for the game, and I know Kemp is the regular big man but I don't know if I've ever seen two more useless 7 footers than the two guys that Marist had. Barely got any rebounds at close to 7 feet.

Nice win- Bisping and Hymes huge games- Hymes has been criticized pretty harsh on this board but he can play-lightning quick- creates on offense-thank goodness he stayed or we would be near the bottom with Niagra- Bisping was criticized early by some on this board as non athletic, another" DIi "player like Hymes- lol- but Bisping has been great too- he crashes the boards, can score and hustles- glad Siena getting back home court dominance that all their successful teams had....

Hymes Poole Bisping Silas and Oliver played well together for a stretch. They are all stepping their games up and showing leadership. The freshmen gave support tonight while those guys led..the DI experience they have is beginning to show consistently

Since Wright (still the MVP of the team) played his usual 39 minutes, it's highly unlikely those 5 you mentioned were ever on the floor all at the same time.

I was surprised they had Wright for 39 min. Oliver was not out there long..you know how Patsos subs so it could have just been one or two sequences then Wright was back in with the other 4 Not trying to argue about it I think everyone would agree veteran leadership is needed for good teams. It takes alot to play D1 ball and guys that have had at least one run through are better prepared for it..Those guys are stepping up for the Saints and we are a pretty good team because of it

With Kemp out (might be the best center in the MAAC), Marist was real small, and it was good to see Bisping take advantage of the Red Foxes lack of size. I said earlier in the week that Hymes would be needed tonight against such a small line-up and he played well EXCEPT for the one minute he ran the point!! lol I think he had back-to-back tunrovers? He scored he ball (17pts) and even got 4 rebonds, which is more impressive for anyone that follows this program!
The big difference in the game was JP finally going to the zone midway thru the 1st half....and sticking with it. Marist only made 6-20 from deep and really had zero inside game without Kemp. The zone also kept Marist OFF the free throw line!! They were in the bonus at 13:33 in the 1st half, and I'm almost positive Marist didn't even attempt a 1-and-1 in the 2nd half!! Zones keep you out of foul trouble, and your opponent off the line.

I love Jimmy's stream of consciousness. And I wonder if Ryan ever gave it a thought, but I love the idea of Rossiter being an asst with Jimmy someday. Sounds like he's quiote the model for this team. Has his pic in the locker room.
