Why would Bisping playing well effect Lavon? He's a guard right? Hymes playing well, and keeping Poole at the 3 where he belongs, pushes Lavon off the floor, along with not being quick enough to cover 6'2" kids. (which is unfair to him) ps--getting 2 fouls in the first 2:50 of the game, forced your son to sit for 7 min straight in the 1st half. HJ, we battle, but you are "spot on" on this one. Lavon's day will come, just not tomorrow. Bisping playing well gives Lavon less minutes at the 4...I have no problem with that.. we won the game...the 2 quick fouls had him sitting for whatever mins in the First half but he went back in and did not get his 3rd till the 2nd half..my point is him playing 23 mins was not so much due to fouls as it was due to Poole Hymes and Bisping playing well and that is a good thing.

Lavon had a bookends type of game - strong at one end (the start) and strong at the other (the finish) while supporting the team in the middle to a varying degree. I have to ask - is he at 100%? It seems to me that he doesn't get up and down the court with the same zip as he did much earlier in the season. Not all that unusual that freshmen start to wear down a little by and during the mid-semester break. I believe it is much more draining to be living in a hotel with the same guys for weeks with no other handy outlet. JMO.

Lavon looks thinner to me I remember someone stating he lost 12-14 lbs. Maybe he is missing mom's cooking. I didn't know they lived in a hotel over break, that has to be exhausting.

That's why I say its good to have guys that have had at least one year through leading. The freshmen no matter how talented they are will have their growing pains throughout the year. Its great that the guys that were here before can show growth and carry us which is a sign of a good team. Lavon is learning along the way and will try his hardest to do his job while he gets accustomed to DI play... and all that comes with it.

Mom lives here now so....But I believe the training staff has been working with him to lose some weight to pick up speed at that guard position
