I'm really intrigued by the match-ups Friday night against Marist:
- Assuming Rob Poole logs at least 20 minutes at the "2" Friday night (which is likely given White's absence), will we still see him drawing Chevaughn Lewis as his defensive assignment?
- If he does, will that leave Siena's "3" guarding the much smaller TJ Curry (6'1") or Khalid Hart (6'2" Freshman who is filling the stat sheets)?
- Will Patsos play zone more Friday to limit fouls with an injury-depleted roster and not have to put Long on a significantly smaller player?
- Will Bisping or Wolfe log minutes at the 5 to stretch Marist's D and draw Kemp out of the lane, allowing Siena to maximize size mismatches at other positions?
- Will Siena press more to speed up a Marist team that's been giving it's starters significant minutes during its successful stretch of late?

Without White I say go big and fall back to the zone if needed.

Expect to see a lot of zone. With Poole at the 2, and Long at the 3, we'll be in mismatches all over the court because of their 3 guard offense against our one guard defense.

Dont forget those small guards will have to defend our size as well

Lavon should have some mismatch post up opportunities, provided he can get his shot off before Kemp comes to help. If Kemp is in the vicinity, Lavon will need to look for an open man at the perimeter or someone cutting to the hoop.
This should be a hard fought game. Lewis is really good, and Kemp is a beast in the middle.

Their PF is Jay Bowie and he's a 6'5" kid that took (8) 3's against Canisius Monday night!! Another tough match-up for Bisping. Lots of zone, and don't be surprised the "small" line-up (Wright, Hymes, Poole, Long and Silas/Bisping) play a lot, especially if we go man.

I have faith in the team defense whether its man or zone. Silas is coming into his own as a rim protector

It's probably been posted before but Bowie went to same HS as Fenlon. Bowie would have come to Siena but Siena wasn't offering at the time.
