Though to win when the best big on the team leaves the bench and heads for the hills.

Next to go... JO.. he won't make the next team picture. 5 fouls in 5 minutes shouldn't be that hard to replace with an attitude.

Not defending our performance which was very bad but I wouldn't call Monmouth "horrible" at 7-7. That said it was a winnable game we blew. Where were they picked in the pre-season MAAC standings? Not only that, there was a noticeable talent different at pretty much every position. This was a bad loss - silver lining is that expectations have increased.

HJ, I have a severe, SEVERE case of knowing when something ain't working, you quit doing it. This is the third year, time to give it up if there is an opposing player within 10 feet of the hoop. He has poor court vision and makes too many horrible decisions, I explained this to you when he was a freshman, you persist. I'll go with "the 4th best player" anyday.

We don't need this right now.

HJ, How has Poole's defense been this season, against all levels including BCS? (the reason why I said he would be All-MAAC) He regularly draws the toughest assignment and regularly shuts them down. He leads the team in points AND rebounds and his name is not Ryan or OD, (I guess White blocks out guys for him), the kid is head and shoulders above anyone else on the team. He doesn't foul, doesn't make stupid turnovers, doesn't make dumb plays, in short, does not cost his team the game. NO ONE ELSE on this year's team is in that class. I know a lot of them are freshman, but there is Poole and everyone else. Live with it.

Poole and Hymes combined for 9 turnovers.
Hymes with 6. And im telling ya. .. Another 4 or 5 were his that were credited to others. Every single pass he made at the top of the key was an adventure to say the least. He had at least four driving turnovers with two being the fall on his face type.

As stated above. . This was just a stinker against a bad team. It also showed we still have some holes to fill

A stinker is when you don't have it. They had a 10 point lead in this game and where only down 3 with a chance to tie late in the game. 1-2 on the road in conference is not awful. The next three at home are must wins.

Hope they watch the second half of the Fordham game on the way home more than once.

It seems the guys weren't ready to play. Too many turnovers, too many fouls, too many missed easy basketball and of course too many missed FT when we needed them. Silas and Bisping were subpar compared to the Fordham game. Only Long and Poole got to the foul line to make a difference. Coach couldn't find a spark from the bench. This is the second time he has mentioned that.

The next three at home are must wins. 39-29, Siena had the ball and Wright made an awful entry pass that was stolen - he had a couple of those and some other poor ones that were nearly turned over - but the one up 10 was a huge turning point, IMO. I think looking for 3 wins at home is a bit unrealistic - 2 wins would be oustanding. I think this is a .500 MAAC club.

Poole missed a big 1-and-1 right before the half that would have made it a 10 pt lead, and then JO fouled a kid with :01 left and he made both FT's. So instead of a 10 pt halftime lead it was 6.

HJ, instead of deflecting the issue, let's hear what you think about his defense (if you know what that is)... by the way, he doesn't sell enough popcorn at half time either.
