I know not many people like this game but I think it will provide us some insight.
How will the coaches prepare for a known team on a neutral court and how will the players react to some familiar faces. I know this goes for Perdue also but I think it should be a little taste of preparedness for MAAC games.
It should prove much more interesting than the last 2.

I did not want this game but now that its here the positive is to improve from the previous outing... Long and Silas barely played due to the fouls and we were close..I would like to see both finish this game and I like our chances

if purdue doesn't win this game, the coach gets fired.

Should be an interesting game...Could come down to what coaching staff will make the better adjustments? We played Purdue tough in West Lafayette so there's no way they will take us lightly today. But this is a neutral court without the Big 10 refs giving Purdue a friendly whistle. We made only one three point shot last week vs Purdue - we need to hit a couple early and the inside should open up for Lavon.
I expect Purdue to key on Hymes and Bisping so the frosh really need to come out and let it rip and hopefully play a great game. If Lavon and Imoh can stay on the floor our chances improve a lot. JO probably won't play and it's probably smart to get him 100% for the Buffalo trip.

On a side note, Marcus Smart was very nice to my nephew! Good to see a kid that could be the 1st pick in the draft, so down to earth!

if purdue doesn't win this game, the coach gets fired. Well, I hate to see anyone lose their job before Christmas, but I'll make an exception here.

if purdue doesn't win this game, the coach gets fired. They beat us by 8 on their home court. Us beating them on neutral court, a week later, wouldn't be that big a deal, would it?

That has to be in the running for dumbest post of the year. Purdue is not a good team but Painter's job isn't close to being in jeopardy.

Painter is a Keady disciple and came into the year 81 games over .500 in 8 years at Purdue. They were undefeated entering the Old Spice. A 3 game losing streak doesn't effect his career. That was ridiculous.

Looking at the positive side we get a very in-conference-like set of two games with a competitor that would be at the top of the MAAC. Kids should learn a lot about that dynamic. It is a very rare occurrence and the kids will benefit from the coaching prep for a good team the second time they play and after only a week's separation. Hope they learn but don't get schooled.
