This starting line up isn't working time for a shake up. Make these freshman earn their time. 25% of the season is gone and a 25% winning percentage isn't a great change.
I like the team and the coach the right combination is there, it just hasn't been found yet.

Lavon is at 57% from the line and climbing. He can still get to 70% this year.

This is a cool chart but the competition is way stiffer this year compared to 2006. In 2006 there were 4 home games and the away games included Dartmouth, NJIT and Holy Cross. Compare that to away games against Vermont, LaSalle, Purdue, and versus top 25 Memphis and St. Josephs. Still, Wright's stats are eerily similar to Moore's with the exception of 3 point shooting and fouls. Same with Long and Franklin with the exception of Franklin's shooting percentage. Again, hard to compare though with the competition discrepancy.

The chart puts things in perspective for me.. thanks for posting. .Lavon's problem is the fouls. ..as soon as he handles that he will be fine.. rebounds look better as well.. he needs to get stronger and hold on to more of them but 38 is pretty good considering. .

He's had some tough matchups but kid's a player. Haven't seen him take a single play off.

Having upper class play more would've resulted in even worse losses the talent just isn't there in those classes. And acting like they haven't earned it is bull shit. Patsos makes the kids earn it in practice. They HAVE earned it but also played Purdue, Memphis and a pretty damn good St Joes team. UA, Vt, Cornell, St Bonaventure, St Joes, Purdue, Memphis, Lasalle ALL played experienced veterans that had some pretty good players. Sienas experience lacks talent and athleticism. This team will be battle tested come MAAC play and because of that will have a real chance to compete for a top half finish

Ok. Play the guys who have no clue or experience. They are 2-6 if you're happy with that, ok. The Two wins weren't exactly things of beauty. It took a behind the back layup to win one and a one in a million comeback in the other. In my eyes the team is regressng. Sorry if that hurts anyone's feelings. Winning 1 of 4 is not my idea of progress. I hope they can do better in the maac.

Question .. for anyone who knows. .looking at these numbers I don't see much difference and I think everyone agrees that this schedule is tougher. . How did the fans feel about these guys back then? Esp the big 3 that had a lot of success while they were here

I would say it was about the same. Moore was highly touted and didn't start at first-- but it was obvious that he should have been and Fran relented soon enough. Ubiles was going to be a star from day one. Franklin was a little quieter doing the dirty work. A big difference though that when the big three arrived the future was already bright. Fran was in his second year and the team had already had a winning record the previous year with a fabulous frosh in Kenny Hasbrouck, who would end up getting his jersey retired and a look from the NBA.
This season there is more uncertainty since it is Patsos' first season here and the team is coming off three straight losing seasons and right now has a losing record. There are a lot of smart people on here that know their basketball, but sometimes they forget that there is a difference in competition. Memphis does not equal NJIT. The team is right on schedule imo or even ahead.

Ok thanks.. 3 years of losing can create a lot of tension. all I wanted for this season is for the team to compete in every game..I had no idea what the win total would be... now 8 games in my optimism has sky rocketed and I believe the fans will be happy with the final product

Question .. for anyone who knows. .looking at these numbers I don't see much difference and I think everyone agrees that this schedule is tougher. . How did the fans feel about these guys back then? Esp the big 3 that had a lot of success while they were here We knew that class was going to be special when they took Siena to the MAAC final and almost won it as freshmen. When that game aired on ESPN, the announcers were saying they looked like a Big East recruiting class. Also, you had Ubiles with high-major offers, so we knew there was a high likelihood he was going to be a superstar. That said, the schedule that class faced as freshman was a joke compared to this one. It's not even close. Most of them probably would have struggled against this current slate too so early in their careers. Those guys didn't really come into their own until the second half of their first season. I think we'll see the same happen here. One thing in common with both classes is that both new point guards instantly improved the team at that position. One big difference between both classes is that the current class has no Edwin Ubiles - he was clearly a high-major player from the get-go. There is no one in this class as advanced as he was as a freshman. I don't think it's fair to compare this class to that one. It's not a reasonable standard. Even the biggest Siena haters on the MAAC board concede that class was the best recruiting class in MAAC history. It may not be something we see again any time soon.

Looking at the schedule I didn't think we would have more then 2 wins at this point. You have to realistic we're young and not all the pieces are in place yet.
