So the first nine games look to be tough especially considering how young we are. So lets have a little fun .......
1. What's our record after nine? 2. Who's our first win come against? 3. Best shot for a major upset comes against? 4. What do you hope to see from the team? 5. What do you expect to see from the team? 6. Sleeper player. Who's the surprise player after nine?

I would say wolfe is a sleeper nobody on this board really is talking about. Javion, Long, Wright and White all seem to be good players and will contribute. In my opinion the MAAC is usually dominated with players with their size and skill set. And there are players in the MAAC who do match their length and skill set. I just do not remember many players in the Maac with Wolfe's length and as athletic that can stretch the D out to the 3 point line. He can truly cause mismatch problems

Depends if he redshirts... Although not sure if Montreal impacts his ability to do so

Is the consensus that Wolfe should redshirt? The numbers will be the same next year unless someone leaves. I know he needs to bulk up a little but why not let this freshman class grow and play together. I will admit the one advantage would be it would break up the classes a little. If Wolfe plays this year that means six sophs next year when Cole is eligible, that's a big class to replace. I just really like his game

6. Evan Hymes-- he has to prove himself all over again on here. he didnt prove himself to me the first time. hes not really capable of running the point all that well and hes too undersized to be effective at the mid major or higher level as a two. As a backup he will be fine. If he is getting the majority minutes at the two... it will be another struggle of a season. The team really needs someone else to emerge as a scorer. I believe Patsos sees it the same as he pursued getting White eligible and Cole's waiver pretty vigorously

1. What's our record after nine? 1-8 (wouldnt be surprised at 0-9 nor surprised if they were like 4-5) 2. Who's our first win come against? Bonaventure Cornell or Monmouth 3. Best shot for a major upset comes against? none 4. What do you hope to see from the team? improved play as the season goes on. The more I look at it, if Siena can somehow get to double digit wins we should consider the season a success. 5. What do you expect to see from the team? I expect Siena to take some lumps early as they figure out roles. I expect Siena to go around .500 from 1/10/2014 on. Getting into double digit wins is going to hinge on sneaking a win or two early. Siena may very well be the under dog until they play Monmouth and they could head into that game as a 1 or 2 point dog. 6. Sleeper player. Who's the surprise player after nine? White.

1. What's our record after nine? 3-6 (Albany, Cornell, Old Spice Consolation)
2. Who's our first win come against? Albany
3. Best shot for a major upset comes against? LSU. I'd consider "major upset" a win against a BCS-level opponent so that limits potential answers here. Possibly playing them on no rest on a neutral court would, in my opinion, be the best opportunity for that to happen. It won't, but it's the "best shot".
4. What do you hope to see from the team? I hope to see them compete in every game this year, including during this brutal early stretch.
5. What do you expect to see from the team? An up-tempo style of play, more pressure defense, a more exciting brand of basketball.
6. Sleeper player. Who's the surprise player after nine? It's hard to not list a Freshman here, but I can't seem to pick one over another, so I'm going with Brett Bisping. He has the skill set and size to be an effective forward in the MAAC, and I don't think he had much of an opportunity to display that last year.

1. 3-6 2. UAlbany 3. 2nd or 3rd game in Old Spice Classic 4. A winning MAAC season 5. Uptempo scoring points, better as the season goes on 6. Rob Poole: We know he's solid but I think he takes another step and becomes all-MAAC
Saintsfan you know the PW is gone right? Optimism?

Some nice pieces of the puzzle in place but still a lot of work to be done and a lot of experience to be gained. This team will start getting the wins together some time after January 1. Until then I would suggest enjoying the development of the players and unit as a whole and worry less about Ws and Ls.

I'm pretty sure there's 100% chance that Siena will never lose again. EVER.
